On a
quiet Saturday morningin spring, I saw bunch of pedestrians crossing the road to
High Park in Toronto
I looked at park from my car window and frowned...
no sign of
Green, Red or Yellow..
where are these people going in such large groups
I looked closely and saw a sign saying
welcome to cherry blossoms...
My hands moved to lower the window
Suddenly I could hear chirps of colorful birds
my heart sang and took a flight in search of such delights across the globe in search of best remedy for a gloomy day...
flowers smiling flowers
and they are back like every year ...
Year after Year
they burst into our lives with rainbow of colors
and what can be better than early spring to enjoy the blossoming cherries ,apples and pears...
or some daffodils on a corner of a stream or mighty lake..
or sparks of color with beautiful tulips reminding us of remaining beautiful despite the barren surroundings...
On spur of the moment I decided to follow those Merry Makers and went to the Park...
I Decided to sit in corner on a bench and enjoyed the view
All the shades of pink above me , From palest to deepest pink;all smiling lovingly at me;singing a soft song of wind
I looked up enjoying the fresh air and took a deep breath;
wind blew and suddenly those petals fell on my hair ,my face, their softness lingering on my skin;
I smiled and looked around
