FIRSTLY I THOUGHT YOU ARE BRINGING an issue again about that baby movement but our dev is so sweet na.i thought OJ is good for baby but later i came to know thats due to papa's favourite and rads and little angel missing for dev part ,u described very well di ,our rads also looks cute talking to her angel same like our dev but this second time and she does not do while dev is there .AND THEN THAT NEW GUY SO U HAVE SOME PLAN FOR BRINGING RADS TO OFFICE,ONE MORE ISSUE WHEN DEV WILL JOIN OFFICE HERE

Suchi was anxiously waiting at the door as Surrender and Radhika reached home. She ran to the parked car , as it came to a halt.

Suchi looked at Radhika's face and then asked in normal tone: how was your day beta?

Surrender with a tease tone : um, see , now she wants to know, after seeing your face.

Suchi looking at Surrender's face , seriously : How many times I called you on phone, and why you didn't pick it

Surrender: that was when we were attending a meeting.

Suchi holding onto Radhika's hand: you were attending meeting? What meeting? When?

Surrender: Suchi, give her some time to breath yaar, what is this, she came along with me, and ask her slowly how it went , ok.

Suchi: she came with you, so only I am anxious.

Surrender with a smile, looking at Radhika: come, beta, let's go inside.

Suchi checked on the tiffin box while walking in : so what you had for lunch?

Surrender: special lunch from her papa.

Suchi looked at Radhika and Radhika smiled wide, and Suchi controlled her embarrassing face to see that.

Surrender: um, now you are trying to hide your expression. How can I ask her to eat this cold food, we had nice hot food, and she ate completely,, without leaving a small piece behind. Faterall i gave her company, that itself is special for her. And she had snacks in between too.

Suchi walking in to house: oh, so when you become so caring.

Surrender: I was always, it is you always thought that I do only business all the time.

Suchi: um I know, how you do your business.

Surrender: ask my daughter, she will tell you

Radhika just smiled again seeing surrender-Suchi humorous confrontation.

Radhika went upto her room to change. She looked at his smiley pics , and picking up in her hand: one more hour, I am glad I went along with papa, so the day just flew away quick, now this one hour also will fly quick too... I saw your office, very nice and well maintained. More than anything, I have seen how happy papa is and I know the reason behind that is your return... Now I am more happy for your decision, as I can see the happiness in everyones face, including mom, Lechu, babuji, maam, daadi,everyone..

And then as if remembering something: let me get freshen up quick ok, before your call. Saying that she placed his photo back onto the table, as she turned to walk away, she paused for a second, and then turning back to look at his smiled face one more time, she picked his pics again , and then slowly brought that near to her lips and she placed a loving kiss. Her heart skipped a beat and she felt shy. Palcing it back in place, her cheek turned pink. With a shy smile she went quickly to freshen up.

Time ticked by. Radhika and Suchi were listening to Lechu's talk. Radhika's heart was bubbling inside to hear that ring sound and her eyes were glancing at the phone in between.

Picking up the phone , Lechu: I knew Bro it is you, we all were waiting ha,.. all are here,... um,... I am doing fine,... mom ... ok, one second.

She extended the receiver: mom

Suchi picked the phone: Ha beta..., good ...um,... ok,... no problem,... she did fine... No you only ask, she is here will give... what?dad, in his office room, came early today, because of Radhika, so finishing up his work... No.. no, Radhika is fine, you talk to her, ok.

Suchi gave the receiver in Radhika's hand, with her fluttery heart, she placed it near to her ears, unknowingly she looked at Suchi and lechu, felt little unesy to talk in front of them. Suchi with a smile went to sit on the sofa, leaving Radhika the space to talk.

Radhika very softly: hello..., she heard his soft voice , she felt so happy, she felt shy, her eye lashes widened. But then she heard his repeated words : ha..., ji ,... I am here..., ji, fine ,... ha, ji, ...I will... Um. She kept the receiver down.

Lechu very enthusiastically: what did bro say?

Radhika with a smile: he said he reached safetly

Lechu: that he said to me too

Radhika smiled shyly. Lehcu noticed the pick tinge on Radhika's cheek.

Lechu loudly : Di, you are blushing!!!!!!

Radhika felt so embarrassed that she looked at Suchi with her widened eyes. Suddenly she rubbed on her burning cheek skin, to wipe of the shade.

Lechu burst into laugh.

Suchi turned to look at her surprisingly

Suchi: what happened Lechu?

Suchi looked at Radhika's face as a reflex and she tried to hide her smile seeing Radhika's embarrassment.

Suchi tried to keep silent, to make Lehcu silent.

Radhika turned to hide her face

Suchi: lechu, it doesn't matter how long you are married, ok.

Lechu coming near Suchi and holding on her cheek: but I never seen you blushing like this when dad calls.

Suchi tried to give a small beat on her hand to shoo it away

Lechu: why? Suchi won't feel shy like babhi?

Suchi: this girl, why you always have to pick on me , for me its been years ok, and getting ready to be a daadi soon, I am old, and soon ready to send my girl away too...

suddenly Lechu: that I am ready at any minute Mom, but..

'what is going on here?" surrender's voice caught their attention, and interupted Lehcu's talk

Lechu: dad, let me ask you something

Suchi: lechu

Lechu: no mom, not you, I am asking dad.

Surrender sitting back on the couch: ok, one minute, let me ask first, did Dev called?

Lechu going near her dad: ha dad, he called long back and he is fine. Ok. Now tell me

Surrender: tell what?

Lechu: did mom ever got shy while talking to you?

Surrender tightening his forehead: what?

Lechu very interestingly: dad, did mom miss you so much at any time?

Surrender looked at Suchi's face and then with a smile: heina

Lehcu : when ?

Surrender: whenever I talk about business

Lechu: business.!!!.. then?

Surrender: then what?

Surrender looked at Radhika, and by the time Radhika went to kitchen to hide from everyone

Suchi: ha, and what about your practical book, did you finish it?

Lechu: what is the need to bring that up here now.

Suchi: um, to remind you that you still need to finish that, go do it.

Lechu: I am talking to dad

Suchi: lechuuu

Lechu: dad, did you ever helped mom with saree?

Surrender looked at Suchi with dropped jaw.

Suchi also got up and went to kitchen.

Surrender tried to call her back: vo

Surrender looked at his daughter's face: what?

LEchu: dad, the other day Bro helped babhi, and when I asked mom said couples are like that, so did you help mom when I was in her tummy.

Surrender felt his mouth dry for a second , but then: no

Lechu bringing a sore face: so you were not loving mom that much.

Surrender: no no, not that way, your mom was wearing this suits all the time, she was not knowing how to wear saree at all, she learned that after your birth only. So there was no need to help her.

Lechu: really

Surrender with a relief sigh : really

Lechu: dad, tell me how I was when I was in mom's tummy?

Surrender looked around and said: that you ask mom only ok, because you were inside mom's tummy only, right, so she knows better than me, ...now I have to attend another call, I just came to ask about the call. Saying that he got up from the couch.

Lechu: no dad, you only tell me, mom get angry

Surrender; why, she doesn't have to. She loved it so much, inspite of you giving her hard time.

Surender: ha, you were very naughty inside mom's stomach too. Lechu sat there silently thinking about her dad sleeping on the sofa, because of her. But then she imagined herself giving trouble to her mom, and she was struggling and her dad sleeping nicely ont his couch. Her face turned red, thinking how easily her dad fooled her.

Time passed quick and they had dinner. Lechu asked Radhika to join her, but Suchi insisted Radhika to take rest because of her long day. Radhika went to her room and put the latch on. With a smile, she went and turn the system on. She waited few minutes and soon the message poped up saying Dev online.

With a smile she waited , having the earphone plugged into her ear canal, and soon the call came.

Radhika: um

Dev: what um, tell me all about it? How was your night and day?

Radhika: it went fine

Dev: didn't miss me?

Dev: don't you know.

Radhika with a smile: um

Dev: and how is my little princess

Radhika: fine

Dev: without me?

Radhika : not really, actually she was not behaving well

Dev very surprisingly: and with a happy tinge: who my princes!

Radhika: um, she wanted to hear her papa's voice

Dev with a smile: um, so she did miss me.

Radhika: not really , becuase i tried to compensate it well.

Dev: what did you tell her?

Radhika: why should I tell you, I never ask you right, what you are talking with her , then? So if you have naything to ask her, you ask directly when you see her, ok.

Dev: ok baba, so how was your day? Did mom stayed back?

Radhika: no, didn't mom tell you?

Dev: tell me what?

Radhika: I went along with papa.

Dev: to where?

Radhika: to office

Dev: with dad, to office!!!!!!!

Radhika in a normal tone: ha

Dev: why?

Radhika: simply, papa asked me, and I just followed him

Dev very curiously : then?

Radhika: it went fine

Dev: what did you do?

Radhika: nothing, just roamed around, and then attened a meeting

Dev: meeting!

Suddenly Radhika remembered him: ha but

Dev; but what?

Radhika: I met somebody

Dev: somebody!!

Radhika: ha, vo. She went in pause thinking what to tell him

Radhika's silence, made him impatient..

Radhika : ji

Dev: um, turn it on

Radhika; ji

And she turned it on, soon their images appered on the screen.

Dev: um, now its better, let me see your face clearly.

Radhika saw him checking on her closely. She felt shy that she lowered her gaze

Dev: Radhika

Radhika felt heavy to look up

Dev: Now what happened? um tell me, whom did you meet.

Suddenly remembering back: vo, the one who did the presentation

Dev: what about him.

Radhika: he sounded wiered

Dev tightening his forehad: wiered? Why?

Radhika: he,... he, actually was looking at me, instead of looking at papa's face, and then at the end, when we all came out, he thanked me.

Dev: what!!

Radhika: he did thank me.

Dev: who? why?

Radhika: what was his name? she tried to remember: ha, Sammy, his friends called him Sammy, he said some lengthy name proir to presentation , I am not remembering it, but he behaved very differently.

Dev: what different?

Dev: He may be knowing that you are with dad..have you ever seen him

before?

Radhika: no, not really

Dev: is he from your college?

Rahdika: no , I never met him before. And ha, he mentioned Papa as tiger

Dev tightening his fist: what?

Radhika: ha, he thanked me saying that only, saving him from looking at the tiger.

Dev: oh Radhika, now be careful ok, don't talk to any strangers, anyway I will be there soon. Don't go alone anywhere.

Radhika: but he sounded so familiar.

Dev tightening his forehad: no, be careful ok, I don't want you to get into any trouble, till I get there. ok.

Radhika: he doesn't sound like a trouble maker.

Radhika: um

Dev: what um, just follow what I say, ok.

Radhika with a smile: um

Their talk continued on her food, their little angel, and to Lechu's talk.

Time passed by, and soon Radhika drifted into sleep.

"Radhika, sorry, I think I was very tired, ..that without knowing, I went to bed, I know I promised to talk to you every day, did you wait for me? I met Balaji sir and they are saying my decision is best, even they were also wondering why I was struggling here, when I have all the good base back there. They are helping me with settling everything here,. One more thing, tell me what you want me to bring from here , other than your cloths. Will catch you before bed, ok."

Radhika smiled and replied back

"I am with papa, at the office"

Lechu: mom, what happened?

Suchi turning back: nothing.

Dev was anxious;y waiting near the office. He paced fast as he saw the examiner getting out from the car. He looked at Radhika and found her serious face.

Dev as if reading her face: don't worry Radhika, we can try next time

Radhika looked at him in question , as she was getting out from the vehicle.

Dev trying to give a comforting smile, extended his hand to take the key.

Radhika as if understanding the meaning of his smile, pulled back the key in he rhand.

Dev: give the key.

Radhika: now onwards I will drive, you sit on that passenger seat only, ok.

Dev: what?

Radhika with a smile: um, I passed.

Dev as if not believing her: really

Radhika: why , do you have any doubt, come let's go inside, he said we have to finish some formalitites.

Dev: Radhika

Rahdika: um, so now onwards, I will drive the car.

Dev just smiled

As they came out from the office

Dev: Radhika , give the key

Radhika: I told you I will dirve

Dev: um, that after you getting your card only.

Rahdika: I am eligible picking up the yellow sheet for his reference

Dev: I know, but this is just for emergency purpose only ok

Radhika: what emergency,I want to drive now

Dev: Radhika, I mean, your licence, is for emergency purpose only, now I am here na

Radhika: That's not fair, all this time, you told me , this is the ID, this is like your life , and now when I got it, you are not letting me drive.

Radhika giving the key in his hand. "Rema deedi was correct"

Dev: what was that?

Radhika: nothing

Dev: no you said something

Radhika: nothing

Dev smiled wide, looking at her licence and then thought, did he let her drive atleast once, no he couldn't remember, because she never gone out alone, or when ever they went out, it was him who occupied the driver's seat.

He moved to kitchen and started emptying each cupboard. His eyes gone wild, as he placed yogurt cups , and nuts bottles on the floor. Standing near it, he placed his index finger under his chin thinking " the collection started form mom,and Rahdika continued, for everything'.

Dev was feeling hungry, he thought of making some rice and thought will adjust with yogurt, as that was the only bottle he could found inside the fridge.

As if knowing what to expect in each bottle, as the label says, he put them in a bag to throw it away, except the spice one, to give to Rema deedi.

That day she went out with Rema and Padmaja. While watching Padmaja's hair cut style, she got spirited, and sat in front of the hair stylist.

The reasoning from Padmaja deedi was very logical...

Padmaja: Radhika, now you got the licence and soon you will find a job too. With this long hair, you look pure village girl from india, when you attend interview and all you should look smart, you know it is more of giving them a feeling that you are smart. Already our styles are so popular here, but still, to give that smart look, you should look one like them too, and then secretly said: tell you frankly, it will be more easy to care then than now. Trust me.

Radhika was totally got into the talk and she looked at the long strand bunch brought in front of her eyes by the stylist , and smiled at her comment " glad that you decided to donate this healthy hairs, and I am sure the person who receive this will be more happy to get the wig made out of this" eventhough Radhika didn't get whta she really meant, she felt happy to donate it.

Rema dropped her at the apartment complex and left, for her own safety.

Radhika got into the house, and Dev was busy doing something in his laptop.

Dev looking into the monitor: Radhika, how was outing

Radhika hiding : good

Dev: why Rema deedi and all left, why they didn't come inside

Radhika: vo, she has to meet somebody... I need to take a shower

Dev: um

After the shower, Radhika was looking at her image in the mirror, and she kept on strolling on those short hairs, which hardly extended down to her shoulder. Suddenly she felt like crying. She never thought it may end up this short, so many images flashed thru her eyes, dadi applying the oil, and massaging her hair, Rohini braiding her hair, dev, strolling down his fingers thru those thick strands, and now.

The silence for long from Radhika's side, made Dev to come and check on her.

Radhika: vo mei

Dev came near and strolled his fingers thru her wet hair.

Dev in a shocked tone : why did you do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Radhika: vo, I never thought they will cut it short this much, I just said I want o get it short that's all...

Dev: its ok Radhika, then wrapping his arms around her waist line

Radhika; but mom and dadi may scold me

Dev: for now we will keep it as a secret ok.

Radhika: you are ok na

He heard her sad tinge voice:

Dev with a smile: um, one second, let me style it ok.

Dev: see, now you look at it.

Dev wrapping his arms around her mumbled: actually Radhika I am very happy now.

Radhika in a normal tone : why?

Dev: atleast when I do the next vaccuming, I don't need to clean it very often, taking this long strand out, and also our carpet will look much better, and our shower won't get clogg in very often.

Blood drained into her face and forcning herself back: are you teasing me!

Dev with a smile: no Radhika, really, I was wishing to tell yout this for long and I am thankful to Rema deedi and Padmaja deedi.

Radhika walking away form him: don't talk to me any more, so all this time, why you were praising about it. now i know the real you. don't talk to me anymore. ok.

Dev ran behind her to console her with his words.:

Dev was laughing loud, on the screen

Radhika: why you are laughing so much

Dev: no Radhika, I was remembering your hair cut day, but then you only mentioned many times that it is easy to manage this short hair, right?

Radhika: um, but still I got the scolding not only from mom, but from babuji too. And see now I am applying the special oil that dadi made, you don't know what all i heard from everyone's mouth. .

Dev: um, I can imagine that.

Days were passing quick with their talk, Radhika's office visit and Dev's settlements, all were going fine.. finally he started packing stuff back to home.
