This show is about making everyone feel good???

I read some articles which say that this show is so sad because that is supposed to make the rest of us feel good that our life is not as bad as Isha's and Ira's. I am shocked that this is being said in defense of this show and there are people who "love" watching the sadness and lack of humanity in this show. I grew up in India watching shows such as "Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi", "Idhar Udhar" and "Mr Yogi", even "Rajani". Many of these also dealt with social issues but not with the above intent. If the producers and directors of this show want to make us feel good about this show, why not show how children who are abandoned by either unfortunate circumstances or un-derserving parents, overcome their challenges and get their lives back on track with help from "average" human beings. Does the world have to be full of and only consist of child kidnappers and torturous orphanage workers?
