Few weeks later

Maan was taking a stroll on the beach.
He was reminiscing about the days gone by....
Things have changed for the better !!, he mused.
At least now, Mishti has stopped threatening about leaving the job ........and that gave him more hope.....
But how to connect with her on a personal level???
With a sigh,he ran a hand through his thick dark hair.....
His thoughts were interrupted by a little voice lisping away in glory!!
He turned around to see a pretty little girl running behind a bright colored ball which was almost her size.
She was talking to herself in her own sweet language..
She caught hold of the ball and called out "Mamma..sheee Tia's ball!"
"Ha..haa.... baby,very nice!!"..
Maan sucked in his breath when he saw her...his Mishti!!!
She had not noticed him,her eyes were on the child.....
She smiled and held out her arms.
The little one ran to her and hugged her.
She lifted the child up and kissed her dimpled cheeks and her tiny nose....
The child giggled....threw her little arms around her mother's neck and kissed her back.....
Maan couldn't take his eyes off them...
What an adorable sight!!!!!
......but a question gnawed at the back of his mind.....
"A child??.....but how???did she marry again?.....no ways!!!!What the hell am I thinking???"
But the detectives he'd sent never mentioned anything about a child......
He stood there confused for a moment.....
Then he saw Pinky and Adi walking towards Geet.....
He slipped away unnoticed by them!

How long will Geet suffer like this?????
Tia is growing fast... soon she'll start asking about her father...tab kya???
From whatever I've seen of him,Maan sir is genuinely nice.....loving,caring....but I can't forgive him for what he has done to Geet!!
Arrrrgggh God, I'm so confused!!!
Should I tell him or shouldn't I???
What if Tia brings them together?????
What if everything becomes alright in their lives????
But Geet...will she forgive me???"
Pinky was uncertain.....
She decided to consult Adi before telling Maan about Tia.

"What is it Pinky? something urgent??",Maan asked, clearly impatient now !!
"Woh sir,main.....".
" Pinky ,who was the child?"
His menacing tone scared Pinky.....
She blurted out, "Woh..woh..baccha.. ..she's Geet's baby girl,Tia".
Maan sat there dumbfounded!!!! his mind a whirlpool of varied emotions!
"But where is her husband??",he asked in a weak voice..
"She is not married!she's a single mother!!!"
"Whaat???? but......"
"Hold on sir!,don't jump to conclusions about my friend's character!!"
She took a deep breath and looked Maan squarely in the eyes....
"Geet was brutally raped!!!!!
The child is the aftermath of that heinous crime!!!".
