So recently i finally watched a lot of movies and i thought to myself how can these films be flop? Are people around the world just interested in movies that require top actors or films that have no stories, a bit of glamour and good music? Not to forget cheap dialogues, that are unnecessary, clothing that is NOT INDIAN AND REVEALS PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING as well as kissing and sex scenes that are yuck and look like frogs mating.. The actual meaning of love does not exist.. Badmaash company, kambakkht ishq? I cant believe audiences liked these? They were pathetic with people only making themselves seem like desperate wannabes.. Nothing personal against the actors though. I mean seriously wheres the originality of bollywood all these actors say now is darling.. Bit** fu**? Yah its required in some movies not all?
Examples of films that were really goof but went flop
Lafangey Parindey
Patiala House- lovely family film!
7 Khoon Maaf
So who do we blame the audience or bollywood? or do ppl ask for these?

Firstly, you can't call audience 'ridiculous'. All right. Just if they don;t like a movie, they are 'ridiculous'?...wow!😳
And for your kind information, different people have different tastes. Like i really didn't like 7 Khoon Maaf.

If a film flops, it doesn't mean it isn't good. It just means that majority of people didn't like it.

Also, for a film to be good or hit, it need not be ''preachy''. Badmaash Company was a good ''entertainer'' and people watch films for 'entertainment' Gyan paane or lecture sunne ke liye aur bhi bohot saare tarike hain.

And last but not the least, i didn't oppose your view 'coz i like or dislike any of the above films you mentioned. But i despise this thought to call audience 'ridiculous' 'coz ''unfortunately'' their taste doesn't matches yours!

I think it's harsh stating that audiences are "ridiculous" I mean they choose to watch the film and I don't see anything wrong in watching a movie that I might not be interested in but some of the films that are being made are ridiculous especially the recent ones what are the directors making?

Im not talking about my taste, and im not trying to put the audience down. Im just saying how come people nowadays prefer nudity, sex, and a wannabe image more than class cinema? The audience is ridiculous in the sense that they start bashing a film 3 months before its release and never give it a chance even if it may be good. Like YRF For example, such a huge production house however every women who works in there films has to wear a bikini, why? No one knows...😕

yah but most YRF have been flops. Its hard to know what the auidence wants. recently Yamla Pagla Deewana was a hit and so was Tanu weds manu. Those were wholesome films.

Plus tastes differ by country. For example Kites did badly in India but actually did pretty good aboard. Maybe that's why I don't get Golmaal?

Actually on the contrary I can see a shift in the audience acceptance of movies that have different genres and not the run of the mill types.....
If it was couple of years back then a movie like Thank You would have been a superhit... Remember Akki's movies all of them clicking at the BO a few years back....
But now the audience perception and acceptance is definitely changing for the better...
Thank you was rejected at the BO...
Movies like Udaan, Peepli, LSD etc have clicked and got a wider acceptance....
Movies with big stars... big hype... big directors have all tanked at the BO...
Look at the ones which have worked off late... NOKJ, Tanu weds Manu, YMD etc ...
Look at last week... A movie like FALTU is getting in more footfalls than a Thank You... That says it all...
