Ido believe in God and I recite prayers twice a day on a regular basis.Though it has been long since I have visited a holy shrine but it is said that God is everywhere so I bow down in front of the small temple inside my house twice a day.
Currently,I would say my religious status is a little complicated because I have become a little lazy these days.However,when I was staying with my family in Delhi I used to be a hardcore spiritual person.For 15 years of my life,I followed a rigorous routine of visiting the temple daily.Though now I dont follow this routine,I do say my prayers before going to bed and directly or indirectly it has helped me in every walk of life.
My family holds great belief in Sai Baba and so I visited Shirdi with my family when I was seven.I have been planning to revisit Shirdi but it seems like the right time hasnt arrived yet.
I bow my head in front of all the Gods and Goddesses but since childhood,I sensed a special connection with gurudwara.I find it very peaceful and like visiting it on a regular basis.In fact,the gurudwara has also turned many of my wishes into reality so my belief has grown even stronger over time!
Im very superstitious and I change my path,if a cat crosses my way.Also,if I sneeze before starting my car,I wait for two minutes before continuing my journey.Most importantly if I have left my house without praying,I experience an unusual anxiety the entire day.My mother has actually bestowed all these superstitions to me.And I personally feel that there is no harm in being superstitious if it gives one mental satisfaction.
Connecting with myself has been quite easy because I stay alone and there are times when Im all on my own.I love working on interiors,I like to spend time sketching out new ideas on paper though most of my designs never gain a practical form.
