Gudi Padwais an apt time for flaunting your festive fervour and for families to come together, says Purnima Goswami Sharma, who gets candid with a few celebrities,to know about their plans for this auspicious day
YASHASHRI MASURKAR (ACTRESS)
For actress Yashashri Masurkar,Gudi Padwa holds a more spiritual significance in her life.In my childhood,I remember making the colourful flower toran to tie at the entrance of my home.We also raised the traditional gudi at out home.Such embellishments are considered to welcome goddess Laxmi. We perform a small puja, followed by munching on confectioneries, especially, shrikhand, which I am quite fond of.The day is considered very auspicious to invest in property and gold, says Masurkar. The petite actress also plans to raise a gudi at the sets of her show,Rang Badalti Oodhani.Since childhood, all the religious chores were managed by my parents. However, now that I live alone in Mumbai,I would miss them,on this day, affirms Masurkar.Speaking about beautifying the home on this day,the actress prefers to give her home a very subtle look.I like to embellish my home in a very lucid and uncomplicated manner.A flower toran and a bright rangoli on the entrance door, would be the two most important items,I would opt,to start embellishing my home with, adds Masurkar.
