Written Update 24/03/11 - Robi's TL!

1. The Gangulys are hounded by the press early in the morning by Robi's turning himself over to the police

2. Shekhar demands the truth from Robi, Neelu slaps him and reminds him of all the lives that have been lost in the process.

3. Robi confesses to his family, weeping

4. Mauli finds out that Taposh is being set free, and that someone else was responsible

5. Emotional TaAnu and TaRob scene...

6. Robi to be imprisoned for 10 years

The episode starts with the Ganguly family having their morning tea, and Shekhar goes to open the door for the newspaper. He is greeted with the sight of news-hungry press people, who tell him that Robi has handed himself over to the police, that he was responsible for the explosion of the gas agency (in the background Riteish was looking slightly tense but not much...gah I'm betting that a hundred hands all over India and the world were trying to reach out to claw the smugness off that khooni darinda's face🤢) Shekhar is beyond shocked.

The entire family rushes to the police station, and Shekhar - still not able to believe that Robi could do such a thing - asks him whether he has lost his senses. Robi's silence seems to say it all, and Neelu, unable to control her hurt and anger, slaps him. She tells him that it's not just Taposh and Mauli and their baby's life that he had destroyed, but also the lives of innocent people who belonged to families just like he did. Robi weakly says 'Ma', to which Neelu orders him not to call her his mother after what he has done. At this juncture, Shekhar pacifies Neelu and tells her to calm down and that this isn't the time or place to give vent to her (very justified) anger, and attempts to to get Robi back home (Seriously...I wonder why Shekhar's not in the pagalkhaana at this point -- he's lost on daughter to death, and another to jail...and has a murderer of millions walking safe and free in his house, how does he take it?? 😲)

Robi weeps his heart out at this point, and tells his family that all throughtout his life he's done so many things that have hurt people, and each time they forgave him and tried to change him for the better. If it weren't for him, a number of lives would have been safe and happy. He tells Shekhar that if he's set free this time, he will never forgive himself, and that he wants to do penance for what he has done (Robi dearest, penance is good and all, but what about that rat in the household?? Get him out of there and into prison while you're at it, and do your prayashchith with a smaller sentance!😕 Rajat totally blew me away in this scene btw, bravo RT! 👏) Shekhar attempts to convince him again, but Onu stops him, telling him that if he's set free now, Robi will never be able to live with himself and the guilt will kill him, and that this is his chance to change for the better. Robi and Onu hug, and Onu tells him he is proud of him because everyone makes mistakes but only few people actually have to guts to own up to their mistakes. Robi sobs in Onu's arms and begs forgiveness, and Onu weeps as he comforts him (der se hi sahi, at least we got a good RobOnu scene...I miss those 😭 and it's heartbreaking that their first scene after SO many months is also going to be their last...gah SP rot in hell! 🥱) Robi then walks to his mother, who hugs him as does Shekhar. Robi haath jodkar asks Taani for forgiveness as well and Taani hugs him 😭

The scene shifts to Onu sitting outside and remembering all his moments, good and bad, with Robi. Taani comes and places a hand on his shoulder, and Onu hugs her. (A very short scene...but a sight for sore eyes...gosh I'm SO going to miss them )

After a few days, Mauli wakes up and seeing the sorrow on the faces of both Laboni and Shumona, realises that she has lost her child. Laboni comforts her, and tells her that Taposh has returned to her for good, as Taposh arrives. He promises her that he will never leave her. Mauli however is still puzzled about how he got out, and this time thankfully Shumona speaks up to tell her that he has blameless, and someone else orchestrated the entire fiasco. Laboni adds that the man who did this gave himself him and because of him Taposh is free. Taposh and Mauli hug.

The scene then shifts to the next day, where Robi has been taken out of court in handcuffs. The voice at the background states that Robi has been given a sentence of 10 years, and Robi comes to see his family waiting outside. Of course I think at this point too there is talk of a lessened sentence because he gave himself in. Mauli runs out of the hospital to see him, because she now knows that Robi gave himself into the police when he could have easily kept quiet. Robi takes leave from everyone, and sees Mauli just before he is about to leave. At this juncture, he remembers the day he had proposed to Mauli, and haath jodhkar asks her for forgiveness. Mauli asks him why he is punishing himself like this. Robi says, Tere Liye Mauli, Sirf Tere Liye (TL bg sad version plays at the background, and if the CVs DO NOT put this on TaAnu, I will kill them 😡) Robi leaves for prison, and I guess that's the last you see of all three of them 😕.
