The other side of JAY BHANUSHALI!

You know him as the ever-grinning, cute and silly host of Dance India Dance! Funny, foolish, frivolous, yes! But is Jay Bhanushali a guy you can bank on for rock-solid support in times of trouble? Errr … not really you'd think! Right? Well, we have reports to the contrary.

Sportingly carrying out all the little stunts that Grandmaster Mithun Da commands him to do, Jay has fast become Dada's permanent scapegoat! But there's a whole aspect to Jay's personality that we all miss!

This week, Niharika fainted after her fabulous folk act... and Jay was the first one to rush to her rescue! Lifting her in his arms, Jay took her out for some fresh breath. And no, this isn't because he loves playing chivalrous around damsels in distress. He was equally forthcoming with his help when Prithvi had fallen unconscious at the previous shoot.

Geeta Ma said, "With all the jokes and the potshots at Jay's expense, his serious side gets muffled. But his promptness in helping out in these 2 incidents shows that Jay has his heart and mind in the right place and he has a lot more to him than the clowning around he's famous for."

Dada looked lovingly at Jay, turned towards Geeta and said, "This is the reason he is my STAR, my Sampoorn Vikas."

Master Marzi brings alive the woman in tomboy SONALI!

This week on Lux DID Doubles, it was Grandmaster Mithun Da's idea to have couples swap their mentors such that each contestant gets the experience of training under a master other than their own!

With this arrangement, we had Sonali and Cornell from Geeta Ma's team being trained by Master Marzi Pestonji this week.The act Marzi choreographed for the duo was inspired by the Bachata style of dancing, known for its pronounced, sensuous hip swaying. All the mentors as well Mithun Da were highly impressed by both Cornell and Sonali as they showed crackling chemistry on stage.

Master Marzi Pestonji said, "The movement of the hips is very important because that's the soul of Bachata. Given her boisterous ways, initially, I wasn't so sure if Sonali could carry it off but she's made me really proud today."

Dada asked Sonali about her biggest learning from Marzi and she did not bat an eyelid before replying, "From a tomboy, Marzi Sir's turned me into a woman." The song 'Man! You make me feel like a woman!' comes running to our mouth ...!

Zee TV's DID Doubles is now synonymous to shockers as with every surprising performance comes the news of a stunning elimination!!. This week is not different at all, as after giving a thunderous performance last week, the axe fell on Surya and Sneha from Marzi Ke Mastaane..

But the buck doesn't stop here!!!

This week the mentors will be seen swapped among the groups where Marzi's students were choreographed by Rajeev Ke Rockers, Rajeev's students were choreographed by Geeta and Geeta's by Marzi. And hence the students got a chance to perform on the composition of the other mentors.

Niharika and Vikram from Rajeev Ke Rockers performed on a traditional number composed by Geeta, on a Holi special act with colour for which they used Kumkum as gulaal. But the prop turned unfortunate for Nihaarika; she had a breathless feeling and literally choked with the intake of powder into her throat and nose while dancing. After the performance she ended up vomiting and finally fainted under the exhaustion, after which she was to be provided with an oxygen support.

DID has always staged unmatched performances with limitless stunts and dancing. But now it is time to take care about the safety of the contestants when it comes to props and stunts.

Mummy's Surprise For Geeta

by one surprise hurled her way after another. To begin with, Mithun Da sneaked in her mother on to the sets of the show in a bid to delight her. As if that was not enough, Geeta's Ma had a surprise in store for her too!

When Senior Mrs. Kapur went up on stage and said "This one's for you, darling!", Geeta had no idea what was coming her way. The ace choreographer was left spellbound on seeing some of her most beloved contestants from the previous 2 seasons of DID– Dharmesh, Siddhesh, Kishore, Binny and Amrita perform an act for her on the Holi special episode of Lux DID Doubles. Geeta could not have asked for better gifts than reuniting with her kids after a long hiatus. Geeta was misty eyed from the moment she recognized Dharmesh, who was wearing a mask, by his trademark style of dancing.

Binny and Amrita said, "For this act, we chose to dance to those particular songs that we know Ma is personally fond of!" Geeta was on Cloud 9 to meet her old contestants and had no words could describe her feelings. She said, "I am mostly in touch with Dharmesh but since Binny has become Zee ki star and Siddesh has become a dancing sensation, I hardly get to see them. I am really happy to meet Amrita and Kishore, who have carved a niche for themselves in their chosen sphere.'

Dada just said, "Geeta this the biggest tribute the kids can ever pay to a Mentor."

The GOD of Dance will judge the Battle of the dancing Superstars!
