I used some creative liberty again. So, from what I could find out about Waukegan, the beaches along Lake Michigan are only open during the summer. I talked about the group going swimming, but I have a suspicion that it would be illegal for people to swim at beaches in Waukegan when they are not open, and there isn't a lifeguard. However, there are some places in the US where people are allowed to swim at their own risk, and I am pretending that the same is true here.
