In the Office, Naina is holding her father's photo, and soliloquizing to him as to what she should do. She does not want to hurt Akriti.
In the garden, Vibha and her husband, Damodar are doing some work, and her husband says that
his bike is not starting, and she suggests that he go with Sanket and Rohini. In the meantime, the newspaper bill comes and the senior Patwardan pays his bill. He also gives him his brother's bill and the senior brother pays that too, without saying a word, as his wife looks on. Vibha goes to Akriti's mother, Shyamal, to give her the bill. and Vibha asks her what is bothering her, and she tells her that her husband mistreats his children, and humiliates them, and she can not bear it. She questions, the way he wanted to hit his daughter. (note in the scene the clothes that are drying are fluttering. This is one of the methods of making a scene in motion pictures. It gives the feeling of life, that is why I consider this serial as a best example of Indian motion picture making.) Just then, Shridar Kaka, the younger Patwardan, in his crude way, asks his wife why the tea is not ready. He blames her and her daughter. Then tells her, that to do all things fast, as in the afternoon, he wants to see the fun, when Ms Nair is coming to see her gold coins. Vibha tells Daksh is in court, and Shridar tells that it would be good if he were at home, as otherwise the Nair lady will bring the Police. The Kaka, contorts face, and a sly smirk relishes the situation, and imagines his luck. After this, his eldest son, Sanket with his wife come out, and Rohini has the urge to tell what wells up in her mind. The three go to work.Akriti is folding clothes in her room, and is engrossed in her thoughts, and Vedant comes and tells her that he is getting late to school and complaints that his clothes have not been pressed as yet. He wears his shirt . In the bedroom, Akriti is sitting and pondering, and then, she hears her mother calling Vedant, and he says that he is getting late to go to school. She wants him to get the wheat tin, down from the shelf. and he goes down. Akriti hears this and is perturbed, and wants to go down, but near the door, Naina is standing she tells her that she wants to speak to her. In a raised angry voice she retorts, that she has nothing to say to her and closes the door. Some time passes, and she waits for Naina to go. She is hurt, that everyone cares for Naina, and praise her, whereas she always gets the knocks from her father and mother.
In the garden, Naina walks towards Vibha and sits with her and asks her a philosophical question about Truth, and about telling the truth. Vibha tells her, that
one can hide truth, but it comes out and prevails. One should not hide it, as it will make one stronger by accepting it. 
In the meantime, in the kitchen, Shyamal, the mother of Akriti, is kneading the flour. Vedant comes in and gets the wheat tin down, and hears some jingling sound, and asks what is in this tin, that it makes noise and without waiting for an answer he walks off, and the mother tells him to put the chair back. He does it and he goes.As the mother, finishes her kneading, she wants to add some more flour, Akriti enters,
and her mother opens the lid, and takes some, but as she puts her hand in again, she sees a bag, and takes it out and sees the gold coins inside. Akriti who had already come into the kitchen, pretends to search for something, and when the mother asks her whose bag this is, and who put it there, she answers that she does not know. She raises her voice in indignation, and the mother says she knows. The daughter asks the mother if she does not believe her, and the mother says, "No." She takes her hand, and drags her to Naina;s room where Vibha and Naina are discussing and Shamoo barges in saying, here is your thief. They are all stunned. Akriti's mother gives the bag of coins to Naina, and tells her about the pouch and how it was hidden by Akriti. She praises Naina, as how she tolerated all the nonsense, when the whole family was blaming her, and she was covering for her daughter. Akriti starts a monologue of defense, and in a crescendo, goes on accusing Naina, as the cause of her misery, and every one has all good to say about her, and her father treats her, his own daughter, like a servant, and all because of trying to please this paying guest. She wanted to be free of her presence and wanted to send her as far away as possible.
The mother raises her hand to hit, Akriti, and just then, Naina holds her hand back, and all look at each other. Naina wants to give Akriti a chance, as she knows, all she has done was a reaction of the situation she was put in by her father. She wants to make her stand on her feet and prove herself. All this is going on in her mind.
A short preview of the next day's program is shown, where Vibha defends Naina, when her son, Daksh as usual accuses her of lies. The mother tells him, "She told lies, to protect your cousin ! It was not Naina who took the coins. It was Akriti who stole them !" and we have to wait for tomorrow.
