Joker will change Akki's image: Shirish

It seems director Shirish Kunder has joined the league of his brother-in-law Sajid Khan.

What with his claims of Joker becoming a super hit even before the shoot is complete? Till now, only Sajid Khan indulged in claiming his films to be hits even before the release - be it Heyy Babyy or Housefull, but now Shirish too has become over confident with his Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer.

Akshay hasn't tasted box office success since some time now, but Shirish is sure that Joker, starring Akshay in the lead, will set the box office registers ringing the loudest. In a chat with TOI, Shirish claimed, "Joker will take Akshay's career to a new level and change his image. It's a sure shot box office success."

Well, coming from the screenplay-story writer, producer, music director, and editor of Tees Maar Khan – yet another dud starring Akshay Kumar, we hope this statement about Joker doesn't turn out to be a joke!

Article is from 2008. So SRK was supposed to be main lead with Amrita Rao in Joker.
