I don't know Lalit what exactly your post is trying to convey! First and Foremost, KS is in the top 100 since the week it debuted and is the second most popular programme on Zee right after Saat Phere!
No denying that but ever heard of ekta being second on any channel
her serials are always at the top leaving apart reality shows and a stray jassi on sony

Secondly, KS is not a love story, it is a story of three sisters and their trials & tribulations...so there is no need and no scope for a "Hot" looking actor!
Then ekta has messed up her tried and tested formula

Thirdly, Actors are chosen as per the script and not vice versa and hence Ram Kapoor has been chosen for playing the role of a 40 year old Business Tycoon, simply because KS had no scope or role for a 21 year old cool dude strumming a guitar!

does anurag look 50 or mr bajaj look 70 by any stretch of imagination
ekta serials work bcos they are illogical

Fourthly, all the reviews that have come out for KS have been universally positive and that says a lot....because how much ever TRP's Ekta Kapoor's shows garner, she never gets positive reviews...

if the review is great then that ekta show is doomed
remember kkehna hai kuch mujhko or something like that

Fifth, it takes an average of 6 - 8 months for a show to catch on, KS has debuted on 16th Jan, its barely 3 months old.

Sixth, KS is certainly a cut above the rest atleast in treatment if not in story...and it should remain this way...if a serial is good, TRP's follow, slow and steady! Astitva took ages to catch on, but when it did, it became the highest TRP grosser in the history of Zee TV!

Niche serials are good for the intelligent viewer but not from a TRP standpoint Since i am a big astitva/ajai sinha fan i know this that astitva was always an elite serial highly popular in big cities and educated families but was not a "TRP grosser" by any stretch of imagination TRPs only come if it appeals to housewives not otherwise

Ok Lalitji, agreed with you! But give the serial some time....let us see where KS is in the next 3 months or so...and frankly, the story has been pretty dull till the marriage thing happened...its only for the past 3 weeks or so, that the serial has been going with a break-neck speed...till then it was pretty standard fare and quite slow!

can u think of some reasons

1) for me the no 1 reason is the hero jai walia

played by ram kappor

for a kekta show to be successful
it has to be full of hotties who the women can devour even though the story makes no sense which in 99.99% of kekta stories make no sense at all including kasmh se

ram kappor is chubby and not good looking though he is a good actor
compare this to iqbal khan rajeev khandelwal and all others who are the leads of various kekta shows they are eye candy

2) no clear hero to root for
in this forum itself there are so many sahil fans , ranveer fans , pushkar fans so no ones clear who will be happy when bani is paired with jai except for the miniscule jai bani lovers

3) lack of story
not a big deal kekta serials never have one


jai bani and kekta fans try not to get offended by this
but i am trying to think of reasons why kasamh se is a flop

I DONT understand at one point u are accusin ekta for having shows with no stories and dumb guys and on other hand u r sayin that KS IS a flop because it does not have tthat . So basically u like to watch shows where there is no story and dumb guyz and if someone puts some decent effort to the story then u dont like that. And u are also accusing viewers to be dumb? intersetin.
