Don't malign me: Dolly Bindra
TNN, Feb 16, 2011, 12.00am ISTDolly Bindra
After juggling and weighing a few offers, Dolly Bindra has finally taken up Imagine TV's Armanon Ka Balidan.
The actress is upbeat about the character, as it is similar to her real self. "I am in love with the character as it is very much like me. Kabootari Mai is a strong-headed lady who likes to call a spade a spade. She neither takes any nonsense nor does she approve of any wrongdoings.
If you remember, my signature dialogue on my last reality show was totey udd gaye. So when they approached me with the character of Kabootari Mai, I couldn't stop laughing and lapped it up," says the actress. Clearing the air about her fiasco with another channel that claimed to having had signed her, Dolly says, "I had not signed anything with them.
They still went ahead announcing that I was onboard. I am an artist and I am here to work, but nobody is allowed to use my name or malign me for sheer publicity. They are still pursuing me for the show and if things materialise then why not?" The fiery lady is open to all the channels that are vying to encash her newfound popularity.
