for some reason, i have a feeling this sanaya and whoever is behind it is going to end doing something so dreadful to piya, like maybe kidnap her. Then abhay is going to come her rescue. Then, there will be the confession scene and piya will decide to stick with abhay. As in VD stephen rescues elena from a vampire , abhay will rescue her from a trouble that is headed for piya soon. after that u know elena realized it and accepted stephen. She decides to stick with him no matter and how he mattered in her life. for , piya this new trouble might make her realize of having abhya's in her life and they can't be frens.
