Abhay didn't have a moment to lose. In his head he tried to assure Piya he'd be there-I'm coming Piya. I'm not going to lose U again. I can't. I'm not letting her win again.
At the ruins Maya and Danish were circling around a petrified Piya. Their eyes blacked. Evil eyes bulged into hers. Piya rued her stupid move. It was too late for regrets but she'd just wished she told Abhay she loved her. They were psychotic. Maya was giving Piya a weird sensation like she knew her from somewhere but Piya never set eyes on her till the other day. Piya's body ached all over. What was all this rubbish about Abhay being Abhimanyu? It couldn't be could it? Witches existed. She witnessed them with her bare eyes but did vampires exist as well? Maya was showing superhuman strengths beyond anything Piya had seen before. Danish appeared to be on steroids. All this too much for her poor head. Why did they bring her back to this place? She didn't want Abhay or the others to get hurt. Piya remembered the last time they were surrounded by Lycanthropes. Or werewolves whatever their name was? to a sane person Piya was certain all this would sound crazy. Her head hurt even contemplating on what Maya was telling her. she was a few baskets short of any sanity. Their eyes changed colour. Piya crawled back against the stones. Piya saw the bruisngs begin to turn a greyish colour.
Maya ran around Piya like she was dancing to some ritual with her whole body seeming like a blur-"Am i giving little miss perfect a headache with my antics? Good it's what U deserve for stealing Abhimanyu from me U brat!"
Piya quivered aggravating Maya further-He's not Abhimanyu! He's Abhay.
Maya cackled evilly-"U stupid girl i told U he's Abhimanyu. I'd have thought he'd have at least filled U in on the details. As always he leaves the hard part to me.He's a blood sucker Love. Face it your boyfriend is a walking dead. A vampire. He feasts on humans lie U though he doesn't have the stomach for it now. He's gone soft in his old age. Probably why he needs back up to save U from us."
Piya wasn't buying into any of this bulls**t. Maya was in need of visit to some psych ward-"If U say so."
Maya could see the uncertainty in Piya's eyes-"I maybe many things Piya. A nut job. Mentally deranged but I'm not a liar. Abhay is a night walker just like my new minion over there Danish. I'm the original vampire thought there are older ones before me. I turned Abhimanyu into a fiend. A vampire and now he lives on forever. Only he was supposed get back to me not fall for some low level trash. He wasted all his energies on Maithali. Now he awaits for her arrival every so many centuries later she comes back as a new person but with the same soul. An old Soul like yours Piya."
Piya's eyes widened in the recollection of the events she'd read from Abhay's journals-"U read the Journals?"
Maya abruptly moved superfast to Piya grabbing her by the arms looking directly into Piya's eyes-"Piya the eyes are a mystery in itself. The play so much for us to see that we pick and choose what we want to see. U have so much hidden in those eyes Piya. Your soul shows U the wonders of life. Ones that U try to forget as a nightmare only they aren't nightmares Piya. They really happened. Remember what Abhimanyu did to U? He killed U Piya. Then he in all your other births he did the same."
Piya refused to listen to the ravings of a mad lunatic unfortunately most of whay Maya was saying rang a bell. At the back of Piya's mind she'd had doubts about why Abhay had these Journals? She never had the guts to ask him due to her own fear of driving Abhay away. Piya desperately wanted all this to be just fiction. Maya was driving her to insanity with all the new revelations. Technically they were old news resurfacing again but Piya did always wonder why she'd had these nightmares of a strange man stalking her dreams every night. Why there was always a violent end to them all resulting in her death. Abhay never questioned her about the dreams and she never spoke about them in depth. Danish was making Piya go dizzy just by being there and running to and fro. It was so unnatural. It defied the laws of gravity almost. Like he was flying but he wasn't. It reminded her of Abhay's special powers.
Maya grinned her evil laughter polluting the air-"It's sinking in isn't it Piya? All i've told U about your beloved. That's only the tip of the iceberg. Did U see your last birth Piya? How the madness took over U? How Abhay made U crazy by leaving U for me. I must say that was a special touch from me to U. But Abhay couldn't love me like he loved U. I can't see why? I mean look at U! Nothing special about U at all. U should really lose those curls makes U look too young. Look at me Piya theres a natural beauty in me. Its what drew Abhay to me initially in his old Avatar as Abhimanyu. Being a vampire only enhances what you've aready got. Shame i can't turn U Piya but i can watch U be turned into a wereolfess. Now that's something never been done before. I mean your brother is a werewolf. Oops did i say that out loud?"
Piya frowned-"What?"
Maya grimaced heavily-"Lover boy not told U this huh? Shows how much U two really trust each other. I smelt the pup from the Dobrial house ages back but i guess i underestimated the good Samaritan that is Abhay coaching Sid through all this with his wiccan trio. He relies too much on those poor kids."
Piya shouted out loud-"Stop it! Shut up or just shut me up already."
Danish glared at Piya-"Give it time Piya. We are just waiting for the puupies to arrive so they can tear your delicate flesh."
Piya just screamed for help as Danish slapped her across her face leaving a red mark on her face-"That all U got!" Piya spitting out blood from her mouth.
Maya shoved Danish away tempted by the blood-"Not yet Dan have some patience my Love. We are waiting for the cavalry then U can have all the fun U want but leave Piya for the wolves."
Danisha moves aside-"Saved by the wolves Piya but they are the ones that will finish U off for good. Abhay won't be able to stand being around U."
Piya spat back-"Well Abhay will do some serious damage to U both once he gets here."
Maya could see Piya still had hope for Abhay-"Love is really blind Piya. I tell U all these saucy details about Abhay and U still love him. Did U know we were together Piya? During your last birth. I played with Abhay. Toyed with him. He really enjoyed me in the driving seat. Have U ever gone past third base with him Piya?"
Piya averts her eyes while Maya holds her head straight telling Pya-"No i can see U haven't. Pity U won't stick around for afters Piya. This is your last of the lives U have left Piya. I can sense the puppies arriving here Piya. This will be fun to watch."
Piya saw what Maya was on about. The yellow eyes glowing was scary but she'd had Abhay in her mind and her mothers soothing voice calming Piya down.
Lux and the crew finally made it and saw where Piya was being held. He could see a trail of animals beginning to make their way. Lexie, Pari, Sid and Lux shot out the car and made it towards the ruins. Maya had Piya in a headlock. Stupid b***h was in for a rude awakening. He didn't give one iota how powerful she was but nobody messed with Piya. He began seeing her as his own sister. Lexie tracked Piya's mind gathering visions on who was present with Piya. The dread in Piya's mind set Lexie shivering. Piya was fine for the time being but they'd man handles her in bad shape using brute force would do that. There was a man there. Actually he was a dead man. Danish. Sid watched Lexies eyes grow black.
Sid asked Lexie what was going on-"Is Piya OK? Tell me!"
Lexie raged-"Piya's not in good shape. Its the man i'm p****d off at. He's Danish. The fools been turned and he's even more menacing than ever. Why that b*****d has been torturing Piya just for kicks. Maya's there holding the fort. Crazed Cow is enjoying this every bit. She knows we are here Sid. She's sniffed U out."
Sid had to be restaned by Lux-"Chill Sid we gotta play this coolly. She's expecting us and a bite from either one of them and your toast! Get my lingo bro! We have to think this one out but fast Piya doesn't have long. Where the hell is Abhay?"
Pari concentrated hard-"He's here but Piya doesn't have long."
Lexie and Lux gave the nod-"Piya's been told about Abhay's nature. She's trying not to believe them but i think after what she witnesses now she'll probably have nightmares till the end of time."
Pari gave them all military style orders-"Just surround them best U can and attack. Thats all we have. We can hold them off mentally but theres too much going on here with the wolves in play. B***h had played her trump card now we got to up our game."
Lexie to Lux-"Bro U know the drill. Stay calm and no sudden heroic acts OK? I can't lose this to a vampire. I can't lose either of U got it."
Lux grinned-"U stole my line. I'm the older twin here."
Lexie to Lux-"But i'm the smarter twin bro. My actions have never endangered any one of us."
Sid took charge of the wolves-"I'll try to contain the pups best i can but i don't even know if they'll acknowledge what i am."
Pari to Sid-"They will but steer clear of the vampires Sid like we said they have a killer bite. U have to be careful."
Lux marches on-"Lets take the suckers down."
Abhay had reached the ruins and saw his small army had already made it to the ruins. Magic. He wished he got here sooner. Abhay had sensed Piya was badly injured. Maya was going to pay for this one way or the other. Abhay connected with Piya mentally to see how much she'd been hurt. If she was even conscious. The images in Piya's mind shocked the socks off of him. So much brutality in them. This riled Abhay up after seeing Piya's mind in tatters he'd just zoomed towards the beasts. He knew the gang would have his back. They had to create a little path for him. Lexie gave Abhay the signal so he knew she was way ahead of him. Abhay called out to Pia mentally letting her know he was here. Maya and Danish would already be alerted of his presence thanks to their heightened ability. Abhay dreaded the worst. He'd be in his vampire form battling it out with his opponents. Piya wasn't going to like the sight she saw. Abhay in all her births had never come to her in this avatar. He was afraid for the first time in his life of Piya's reaction. He'd had no choice. Here goes nothing Abhay thought and went in the lions lair.
The wolves began traipsing towards the inner circle as Lexie and her kin try to hold up their force shields up to stop their entry. Sid had no idea what he was doing other than talking to the animals irrationally but it wasn't working. How was he supposed to know what to do? The wolves weren't exactly the speaking kind now were they? Their yellow eyes glowed in the night. Sid wasn't scared but these wolves were endearing he thought. Oh God thought Sid! He'd lost it thinking these wolves were anything but endearing. Come on. Buddy! He wasn't sure but they seemed to take their eyes off the ball as if they'd found a lost member. Weird Sid was engrossed for a few minutes understanding the plight of the wolves. Their territory had been breached and they wanted the intruders out by all cost. Sid had found this whole telepathy thing bizarre. But his sister was in trouble and he wanted them to back off. How on earth was he going to get the pack to shift their weight out of here! He didn't have a clue what to do.
Abhay ventured in the circle growling at Maya and Danish for their demeanour in the treatment of Piya. Abhay saw Piya in the foetal position protecting herself against the terrible twosome. Her eyes gave away everything Abhay had feared. She saw this whole incident in a new light. A darker more disturbing light he'd never wanted Piya to witness. He'd failed in his attempt to shade Piya from the harshness of his horrifying reality. Thanks to Maya, Piya's world was shattered. The image was broken left by a realization on how much Abhay had held back from her. He'd hoped Piya would forgive him but right now it was more important to get Piya out of danger and back to safety.
Maya grinned in satisfaction-"So we finally meet face to face Abhimanyu! Its been a long time and U haven't changed a bit! Other than your name and your taste in women is appalling. I'd have thought you'd mellow in time but she's no piece of art. How did U like my handiwork Abhay? "
Abhay angrily glared back at Maya-"U stupid b***h! When will U ever realize i'm never going to want U in any lifetime. Be it hell or heaven i am never going to want U. So why don't U take your new plaything and get the hell out of here while U still can."
Maya tutted sarcastically-"Now Abhay is that a way to treat your old flame? I expected better than that from U. No i'll take my chances and fight with U and end her miserable life for good Abhay. This way U will be free to be mine. U know the drill. The endless cycle of life must end for Piya so we can be united as one just like nature intended Abhay."
Abhay mocked-"Nature intended! U mean what U wanted all along. Ending Piya will not stop your delusions Maya. Nothing will. I can't be with U. I'd rather end my existence."
Maya stopped grinning and started pacing around superfast towards Piya-"Abhay U know our death is not as simple as that. U can't will death. Haven't U learnt anything? A wolf bite would do the trick but its never been tested out before. It all depends on luck. On age and well the strength of ones character. I could end this ones life here so easily Abhay but i want her to suffer. I want her to see what U really are. She hasn't had the luxury of this before. Theres always a first time."
Abhay tried to move towards Piya but was stopped in his tracks by Danish menace to vampires now-"What U going to stop me Danish? I'm faster than U and older!"
Danish beamed showing his razor sharp teeth-"I know old man but I'm stronger than U will ever be. U are no match for me. To get to Piya U have to get through us."
Abhay pushes past Danish but is quickly toppled over. Danish transforms into his vampire self with red glowing eyes hungry for some action. Piya screams at the sight before her. dread setting in as she cowers away from Maya who sets her loose. Maya loved the view. It gave her a thrill to see such terror in Piya's eyes. If she thought this was scary Piya should watch a wolf transform it was petrifying for even a vampire to watch though Maya always found their transformation to be delightful with the Lycanthropes bones cracking as they shift in their wolf form. Though shapeshifters were ones to watch out for in their tiger form was the worst or was it the lion form. Piya hurtles around trying to escape but their was no way out. The wolves had surrounded the ruins while inside Abhay and Danish scared the hell out of her. this couldn't be happening. It was too surreal. Like dj vu. What she saw in her dreams except this vampire form was all new. How on earth was this possible? Her head hurt from sheer over exhaustion. Her body ached and worst of all her heart felt as if it was going to jump out of her chest due to it beating so fast. Adrenaline kicked in as she lunged Maya aside forgetting for a minute what she was heading towards Danish. Abhay saw Maya about to pounce on Piya so he forced himself in his vampire mode and crashed Danish against the stone with all his might. It was as expected Piya saw Abhay pale face with his blue eyes and sharp white fangs and stopped in her tracks. It broke Abhay's cold heart watching Piya's perfect image of himself in her eyes crumble before him. It didn't last as long as Danish headed back for some more a** kicking. Piya moved towards Abhay to shield him away from Danish. Abhay moved Piya out of his way quickly and tookj a few blows on his chest and back. Abhay thought he was out of practice from a good fight. He hadn't battled a new born vampire in well never. If only Piya wasn't here. He couldn't focus properly. He was scared for her safety and throwing herself in front of danger was beyond Abhay's thinking. If anything happened to her. Abhay saw a glimpse of hope of Piya's acceptance with her sacrificial ways trying to protect him despite knowing what he was. maya lunged for Abhay trying to bite him so the wolves would crave vampire blood.
The wall created by the wiccan three was beginning to cave in. Lux wasn't sure if they could hold it any longer. He saw Abhay, Danish and Maya were playing a game of rugby. He knew it wasn't a time to be cracking jokes but it was a ploy to get the shield down so the wolves would attack. Something told him the wicked two had a get out already planned. Their main intention was to hurt Piya and break her cycle of life. Lux had to do something and fast. He glanced over to Lexie and Pari who were struggling to keep their concentration as their mind was wavering towards Abhay being brutally lynched by Danish. Sid was losing his patience as he was attempting to connect with the wolves on a personal level via mind to mind. It had the wolves come to a halt or so Sid thought but their primal nature was to kill their enemies. Vampires were their nemesis and vice versa. It was only Sid stopping their attack on the vampires for now but they didn't care what Sid wanted. He wasn't a thorough bred wolf yet and only after he'd undergone a transformation would their link work Sid realized out of dismay. Lux saw the disappointment on Sid's face making Lux take a leap of faith. At the rate they were going the shirld would drop and his sisters would be in danger he had to protect them from the vampires and the werewolves. Sid couldn't enter the circle to bring Piya out and Abhay had his hands full. He took another glance at his sisters weakening and blood begin to drip down both their noses. Lux saw drops of his own blood on the floor. Great just what he needed.
One of the head wolf pushed its way through the shield as it whimpered in. Lux boldly shot into the circle leaving his sisters in panic. They had to keep the damage to a minimum and keep the others out. Lexie let out a cry of anguis and let her reserves take over with Pari doing the same. They began to close the gap.
Lux gave a faint smile with weary eyes-"I have to do this girls its the only way they can make it out alive in one piece."
Pari closed her eyes as tears flew freely streaming down. Her own anger taking over-"Lux please be safe."
Sid wasn't permitted to enter the circle. It was a way to refrain any other wolves from getting in. He understood the precautions both Lexie and Pari were taking.
Lux used his magic to keep the vampires apart unfortunately his power levels were at an all time low. He couldn't hold off the head werewolf. He saw Piya on the ground with the wolf circling around her as if to determine if she was a human or a supernatural being. Drat Lux thought she was an old soul so her blood would be potent for any being. The wolf was drawn to her. Piya moved further back. Lux tried to free Abhay but Maya was free with him too. Maya reached out towards Lux biting him as Abhay headed for Piya. The wolf headed towards Piya and Abhay and that is when Lux used his brute force to keep Maya off of him freeing Danish. He moved wuith gusto forgetting about what could happen to him and hurtled in between the wolf and Abhay and Piya.
