Ibrahim Ali Khan has hinted at a possible new collaboration while wishing actor Gajraj Rao on his birthday, sparking curiosity among fans about his upcoming projects. Sharing a warm message, Ibrahim wrote, “Can’t wait to share screen,” a line that quickly caught attention online and led to speculation about a future film together.
The actor, who has featured in Nadaaniyan and Sarzameen, is currently preparing for Diler, backed by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. Unlike his previous two projects, which were released directly on streaming platforms, Diler will mark Ibrahim’s theatrical debut. The film is being directed by Kunal Deshmukh, known for Jannat.
While Ibrahim’s earlier films did not receive strong responses, he has spoken openly about his confidence in Diler. In an interview with Esquire India, he said that Kunal Deshmukh’s experience makes a difference. “I’ve really sat on the script this time around. Kunal Deshmukh sir is a really experienced director. He’s very good and can present me well,” Ibrahim said.

He clarified that he was not criticising his earlier filmmakers, adding, “I’m not taking shots at my previous directors, but the truth is that they are also first-time filmmakers. You have to think about that.” He also admitted to having a positive feeling about this project.
Speaking further about his approach, Ibrahim expressed confidence in his abilities. “We’re on the backfoot right now, but I know how to act—it might be a cocky thing to say but some people have it, and some don’t,” he said. He credited Kunal Deshmukh for guiding him through difficult moments on set, saying the director always finds solutions when he feels unsure.
Despite facing criticism early in his career, Ibrahim has asked audiences to give him time. Addressing fans and critics alike, he said, “Give me one more chance, man. Let’s have at it.”
According to reports, Diler will feature Sreeleela as the female lead opposite Ibrahim, making it a fresh pairing. The film’s first shooting schedule was completed in London last year.
Ibrahim made his debut with Nadaaniyan, produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, which released on Netflix in March 2025. He later appeared in Sarzameen, starring alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kajol, which premiered on JioHotstar in July 2025.
