MTV’s dating reality show Splitsvilla returned with its 16th season, MTV Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar Ya Paisa, and even before on screen rivalries settle in, off screen chatter has taken centre stage. The latest buzz involves contestant Niharika Tiwari and social media personality Uorfi Javed, following viral claims about an alleged party incident.

The speculation began after Uorfi, who appears on the show as one of the mischief makers, hinted at unresolved tension during a recent episode. “We had a controversy outside the show,” she said, leaving contestants and viewers curious. Soon after, social media pages began pushing theories, including claims that Niharika had earlier commented on Uorfi’s outfits and height.

The chatter intensified when content creator Shruti Mishra posted a video alleging that the tension stemmed from a party incident. According to her claim, Niharika allegedly kissed Uorfi’s boyfriend in front of her. The creator further alleged that everyone present at the party was “drunk”, which quickly added fuel to the rumour mill online.

Uorfi was quick to respond and shut down the speculation. Reacting to the viral clip, she dismissed the claim outright. “This is not true 😂😂😂 kaha se apne mann se bana lete ho ye sab,” she commented, making it clear that she found the story completely fabricated.

Niharika Tiwari also reacted strongly to the accusations. Expressing disbelief at how confidently the claims were being circulated, she wrote, “Wtf 🤣🤣🤣🤣 LMAO 🤣 Bro… Imagine speaking so confidently about someone you’ve never met. Couldn’t be me. But if making up stories for views pays your bills, carry on.” Her response clearly rejected the allegation and criticised the spread of unverified narratives.

Meanwhile, Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar Ya Paisa premiered on January 19 and is already drawing attention for its refreshed format. The show airs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7 pm on MTV India and JioHotstar.

Sunny Leone returns as host, continuing her long association with the franchise, while Karan Kundrra joins her as co host this season. Nia Sharma and Uorfi Javed feature as mischief makers, tasked with influencing choices and stirring twists. Set in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu, the season features 32 contestants divided between Pyaar Villa and Paisa Villa, promising drama on and off screen.
