Did anyone understood the movie Dhobi Ghaat?

I really liked the movie but i felt it was very confusing and many things weren't revealed. Why does it watch Yasmin videos and how he get married to his wife and why divorce take place? Also why doesn't munna tell this girl that he loves her and why doesn't the girl say anything? And Arun one night stand with this shaii and shaii still have a soft place for arun..I thought aamir character was very mysterious. But have to say each character performance was flawless. Direction was very good, top notch!

haha why meena? I thought the movie was very good and interesting but it end with confused thoughts. There are so many things which remained a mystery.

i really love art movies if they're well written. but dhobi ghaat, the ending was so confused or that's what kiran rao wanted? the only political movie i loved was Rang De Basanti

I really liked DG but it didn't have a real conflict or story. It was just a slice of life in Mumbai. Everyone acted very well! I liked the girls and Prateik more than Aamir though, which was surprising to me. I posted my review in the Recently Seen Movies thread. The ending wasn't even an ending...it just ended? 😕

hahah thanks for replying as i thought i was the only person who thought this way. I think it's definately one time watch but it never explored Munna, Arun or shaii life..it just showed this is the character, just watch it..do you remember if other members love the movie??😆

I think it might have been too hatke for other's likings. 😆 Haha kidding, but I know people who felt the same way..they thought there was no point to the film. It was very documentary like.
