I signed the petition. But are the makers of the show aware that such a petition is going on? Or will a substantial number of votes be gathered first, and then they will be asked?

It is not easy to remake or recreate a classic. So many television and film spin offs, sequels, prequels, remakes, continuations, fail miserably because the original was unique and cannot be duplicated well. The impact is often diluted and does not do justice to the original. That is why I'm of the school of thought that shows/books/movies should be left untouched no matter what fans expect or demand.

That being said it would be nice for Mona Singh to come back in a unique show. I'm someone who is sick and tired of the saas bahu dramas and over the top dramatic soaps. I don't know - maybe someone can write a good sitcom or crime drama for Mona Singh. I think fans will enjoy something refreshing from her.
