if IT sleuths had any clue about the kind of revelation they were going to stumble upon... they'd have brought along a posse of journos and lensmen for clinching evidence. Reportedly, when the Income Tax officials swooped down for a raid upon the residence of Priyanka Chopra at the early hour of 7.30 a.m suspecting serious tax evasion, they were greeted heartily by' a sleepy Shahid Kapoor sporting precious little' but a pair of shorts!
Rubbing their eyes in disbelief, as did Shahid, IT personnel assumed that they'd raided the wrong sixth floor apartment in Classic building on Yari Road in suburban Mumbai. Minutes later, it dawned upon them that Sasha and PC were "great friends".
As per insiders, an embarrassed Sasha dressed swiftly and made his exit.
Squeals a highly placed source on grounds of anonymity, "Shahid was very much present at Priyanka's house, but he wasn't in the raw and nor did he open the door because there was house staff for that. Shahid had spent the night at Priyanka's house and she had come home from walking the ramp for a fashion show for Shabana Azmi. They're trying to spend as much time together, coz' Priyanka will soon get busy with the promotions of 'Saat Khoon Maaf.'"
An IT official still reeling from the Sasha shocker, states in a tabloid chat, "We were surely shocked, but we had to carry out a swift raid and that is precisely what we did. The security personnel in the building were not given a chance to warn the actor that we were on our way up."
Reportedly, 70 IT officers drawn from various units raided 12 properties belonging to Chopra and Katrina Kaif in connection with alleged tax evasion. As per insiders, 12 lockers were raided; verification of documents took place and officials seized many documents from the suburban Mumbai residence of PC's dad Dr. Ashok Chopra.
