"Mummy? Papaji? Aap yahan?" Muskaan asks shocked yet happy to see them here.
"Haan beta tumhari yaad aaraahi thi.. toh tumse milne aagaye" Muskaan's mom says taking her into a tight hug as her dad pats her hair.
They both were extremely happy to know that Muskaan had chosen Rahul as her life partner, but they didn't say anything about it yet.
Muskaan too was extremely happy to see her parents there as it has been a long time since she has seen them.
Daughter and parents sat on bed and caught up while Rahul peeked in from the door and smiled seeing the happiness on their faces. He had big plans to ask Muskaan's hand in marriage tonight.
Later that night Muskaan dressed up in a red sari, with a few bangles on her wrist and not much make up.
Checking herself out in the mirror one last time, she headed down the stairs.
As she made her way through the crowd she felt like someone has their eyes on her, and her heart truly believed it to be Rahul, but everytime she checked for him.. she couldn't find him.
After a few hours the groom was putting the sacred thread around the bride's neck as everyone blessed the couple.
Just as the couple finished their turns around the sacred fire, Muskaan felt someone tapping her shoulder.
As she turned around, she saw him on the floor, kneeling on one knee.
"Rahul.." she whispered as he looked up at her.
