His eyes were rooted to the spot. He thought she would have been inthe car or somewhere in the middle of the road. Never expected her to be drenching in the rain, without caring for herself.But in corner of his heart, he knew, he knew his Muskaan.
He felt bad for shouting at her. He never meant it like that. He never wanted her to know of the reason, cause it equally sad for her as much it was for him. He remembered so many cherishable moments that they both had spent with his dad.
But then, when he heard her cry, he couldn't even imagine his going away had left such an impact on her. She was totally justified for her behavior. He shuddered thinking how she would have managed alone, all while.
"Its time, everything sets right" he said to himself, and ran towards her.
Muskaan was sitting in the same position since, god knows how long. She could not decide anything. Thoughts ran fiercely through her mind, jumping from one memory to another. She had suffered so much after he went back. But she had never cursed him. She had always had faith on her love. But there was time, when she lost all of it and wished it all reversed back to null.
Although she knew he would have a very valid reason for leaving her like that, but she was very HURT, hurt that he did not consider her, his own. Had he, then he would have told her. She was HURT that he did not tell such an important matter of his life and left her abandoned. Things could have been so much easier if he had told her. She could have supported him. But he did not. Tears mixed with the rain. She closed her eyes, demanding from her babji's answers for all of this mess.
"Muskaan" Rahul took her by shoulders and felt her shiver in cold.
"Muskaan chal, its cold out here" he tried getting her up.
"Rahul" she looked at him, got up. As soon as she did, her eyes flowed more rapidly.
"I hate you Rahul" She said crying.
"Muskaan" Rahul said astonished by her sudden declaration
"I hate you, tune mujhe kabhi apna samjha hi nai" She told him, her feelings.
"Muskaan, yeh kya keh rahi ho tum??" he came closer, while she went backwards on the road.
"Agar aisa hota, toh tum mujhe batate, tumhe mujhpe itna bhi vishwaas nahi tha, ke mai tumhara saath dungi?? Tumhe pata hai?? agar tumne mujhe bataya hota toh mujhe yahan par itna sab kuch sehena nahi padta. Mai tumhara saath deti, Uncle ji mujhe bhi pyaare the, tumne mujhse itni badi baat chupai Rahul, KYUN??" Muskaan cried out
"I didn't want to hurt you Muskaan" Rahul said, unsure of his words.
"You did not??? Then why am i standing like this?? You HURT more than anything Rahul"
"Muskaan, i am sorry, i know maine tumse chupaya, but trust me, i didnot have any intention of hurting you, its just that, i was..i was so tensed, so worried about DAD, that nothing ever struck my mind, and i just flew away. dont know why and how my brain came up with such an excuse. Trust me Muskaan, i will never want to hurt you" Rahul poured out his heart
"I know, i have done enough damage and now, i dont think i deserve your love, i know how much you have suffered cause of me and I" Before Rahul could say anything, he felt himself being wrapped in warmth. Warmth of her arms, her love.
"I knew, you were a dumbo" Muskaan said smiling through tears.
"Uncle Ji hote, toh woh teri kaan kheenchke bolte, "Abey Rahul, khote, meri Muskaan ko hurt kiya tumne" Aur tumhe laga ke tum mujhe na batake acha karoge, you are so" Muskaan laughed out.
Rahul was dumbfounded. He did not know how to react.
"I love you Muskaan" Rahul said, so grateful and proud that his girl, understood him to the core.
"I love you too Mere Kaan Kajoore, I love you too" Muskaan for the first time, felt tears in his eyes. She raised her eyes and wipped his tears gently and let her hand stay there for sometime more.
Before Muskaan could say anything further to console him, She felt his lips on hers and experienced her VERY first RAIN kiss. A passionate, Loving, possessive yet relaxing Kiss
Rahul hugged her again and broke apart and kissed her forhead and said, " I love you my Jungli Billi"
