Razzle, dazzle me!

Long legged lovelies sashayed their stuff on day one of the Lakme Fashion Week yesterday to four shows that were spilling with front row fashionistas, buyers and a densely populated gathering of spectators. Showing off in true style were Rocky S, Surily Goel, Anshu Arora Sen and Manish Malhotra.If statements that emerged off the ramp were any indicator of the shape of style to come then with a heady dose of glamour clothing and talent, anything still goes!

Supporting fella designer Rocky S (who opened the week) were Narendra Kumar and Manish Malhotra. Former ramp muffin turned celluloid burner John Abraham was the show stopper for Rocky and Shivani Kapur sizzled alongside him. Preity Zinta gossiped with Twinkle Khanna whilst beau Ness Wadia chatted up Gauri Khan Sangeeta Bijlani made her choice clear in a black and white linen pantsuit by Armani. Neelam for starters (that too in a short skirt), Malaika for main course and Salman Khan for dessert - Surily Goel's show definitely flashed star power at its best. Talking about biggies Manish's show-opener was good friend Kajol and show stopper was Preity Zinta Yash and Avanti Birla kept a low profile during the show and left immediately after. Karan Johar undertook a 'tedious journey' to town only for his close friends Surily Goel and Manish Malhotra. So, what did he do for five hours in between the two shows? "I hung around and chilled. What else could one do?" Now, that's what friends are for…
