Yeah I agree kajol deserved an award for UMAH. But I don't know who were her competition at that time. But SRK for RNBDJ and Kjo for KANK don't deserve award.

Priyanka won all the awards for Fashion the year UMAH came out. *party*

It's a fact: Filmfare is biased at times.

Also, some of their choices for Best Actress have been laughable.
Let's take a look at the worst contenders for Best Actress in the past:

2007
* Aishwarya Rai - Dhoom:2
She acted terribly, but just because the film was a huge hit and she joined the Bachchan's she got a nod. They should have nominated her for Umrao Jaan in which she acted greatly, but it was a flop so it got ignored.

2008
* Deepika Padukone - Om Shanti Om
It was a good performance for a newcomer, but Best Actress? Come on dude. No.
She is still growing and improving with each film but that nomination was a joke - another case of slotting the heroine from a top grossing movie in the category just for the sake of it.

Also, sometimes they nominate someone in the wrong category.
Kareena Kapoor for 3 Idiots?
She was a supporting cast member!
Same situation with Priyanka Chopra for Kaminey - she was in no more than 6 scenes.
