Can two actresses from the same league be friends?

If True, name a pair?

In a recent interview, Sonam said that her and Deepika are not friends, but in KWK it seemed like they were..

Not really....they're always competing for the same roles

But somehow two actors can be friends. I guess its because the roles in Bollywood are a lot more limited for women and therefore its more of a fight for actresses to land their roles

IMO... Two actresses from the same league cannot be friends...

Sonam and Deepika are friends or act as if they are friends is bcoz they are in a different league... Beginning of the career when both where at the same level... things were not this hunk dory between them...

See cant blame the actresses... They have a very short shelf life here... So the competition is cut throat...They are competing for the same movies, same ads, sometimes same men too... 😉

No, I don't think so.

For example - Aishwariya Rai and Rani Mukherjee, who are considered top actresses in this industry. Their friendship didn't last very long in Bollywood, did it?

On the other hand, if it's a pair of actresses like Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Arora, then yeah I think they can be friends (one is a hit actress, while the other is a flop one). Would they be great friends if Amrita Arora was also a hit and popular actress like Kareena Kapoor? I don't think so.

Like others have mentioned already, these actresses are always going to be competing for the same things (endorsements, roles, box office queen, top position, etc.) and in a way Bollywood is tougher for them than it is for the actors.
