| As 2010 comes to an end we take a look at some shows that did not have many expectations riding on them when they were launched this year. Behenein: Behenien on STAR Plus started off in the afternoon slot but shocked everyone with its popularity. The show revolves around 4 sisters played by newcomers Purva (Alisha Khan),Aakashi (Adaa Khan),Smriti (Shiju Kataria) and Anokhi (Ojaswi) and how they deal with trials and tribulations together. The lead pairs of Mihir-Purva and Shamaldas-Aakashi became very poplular with the audience. The jodi of Shamaldas-Aakashi was the surprise package of the show because they are complete opposites in looks department, while Aakashi is the traditional Indian beauty Shamaldas is unconventional looking. |
