'Playing a vamp has its perks'

Actor Shubhaavi was delighted when she was honoured with the Suvidha Gaurav Award trophy recently for playing vamp Meera in 'Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'.
Cradling the award, she exclaimed, "Playing a negative role has its perks!" The soft-faced actor adds, "It was a challenge playing a vamp as I had to look convincing. I used my facial expressions , primarily my eyes to portray my emotions."
Shubhaavi is grateful to producer Ektaa Kapoor who had "confidence" in her and director Gary and her co-actors Smriti Z Irani and Ronit Roy for "their support."
The once prize -winning gymnast and hurdles-sprinter is also hosting television shows.
In 'Say Naa Something to Me' (earlier hosted by actor Anupam Kher), she interacts with kids. On the other hand, in 'Junior Views', Shubhaavi discusses various issues with teenagers such as the inclusion of "sex-education in academic syllabi." Her personal life is rocking too.
Shubhaavi is going steady with suave actor Rushad Rana ( Karan of 'Woh Rehnewali Mehlon Ki' ) whom she first met on the sets of the Hinglish play 'Dhoom'.
