Dubai: Bollywood beauties Rani Mukerji and Vidya Balan lit up the Gulf News office on Sunday evening when they came in for a quick visit and sat down for an interview.

In town to promote their new film, No One Killed Jessica, the pair were all smiles and in a friendly mood as they traded jokes, putting paid to rumours that they had fallen out during the filming.

'No One...' is based on real-life incidents surrounding the death of Indian model Jessica Lal, who was brutally shot by a politician's son at a party in 1999. The circumstances surrounding Lal's death and the high-profile people involved have made it one of the most talked about cases in India.

Mukerji plays a journalist investigating the story while Balan plays Sabrina Lal, the victim's sister.
