Surekha Sikri to host Sony's Wife Swap

If you think it's unthinkable then Sony Entertainment Television has managed to do the same.
The channel has roped in veteran actor Surekha Sikri aka Dadisa from popular show Balika Vadhu to host their upcoming reality show based on the popular UK show Wife Swap. As reported earlier by Indya.com the desi version of the show will not have wife swapping but will see the swapping of celebrity mothers with common housewives. The show is expected to launch earl next year.
Informs our source, "The Indian version of Wife-Swap will be hosted by none other than the seasoned actress Surekha Sikri. The concept of the Indianised version will be contrary to the international show. It is not at all bold in its content but is more ghar parivaar types, which will suit the Indian sentiments perfectly well. The channel was also contemplating on Supriya Pathak and Supriya Pilgaonkar but we finally decided on Surekha Sikri."
Ajit Thakur, Business Head Sony Entertainment Television, confirmed the news. However, Sikri refused to comment on it.
Keeping in mind their current tryst with success in the non-fiction genre, the channel certainly would have its hopes pinned on this show too.
