@Dancingdoll
I really don't know whether to contribute this to his drunken state but I was kinda disappointed with this scene because of the way it was concluded...very cliche'.....Unfortunately we knew how Dutta would react in the scene and we had seen the precap this weekend ample amount of time that when it came,it obviously wasnt a surprise....not tht his reaction wasnt beautiful...It was par excellence...but my main focus was on happenings post the count of 2....because tht was the surprise element...and we had lot of expectation out of the consequences after the count of 3 and well.....As always, Dutta leaves a track without concluding it....
I am very surprised...He stands by his wife but is not interested in knowing who sent Suresh....and would he let Suds or any 3rd person handle THIS affair?...This is personal to him and noone has a right to get into this, not even AS.....
Suds gives AS as an excuse....yeah!! u cant do blood shed in front of Aayi Saheb....yeah, AS is okie with blood shed as long as it is not in front of her eyes....she was OK as long as DP was being shot in front of her.....I wonder, how does Dutta meet her eyes when he comes drunk in front of her?...makes me wonder....
What i liked about the epi was Dutta and Naku's eye lock and the part of last scene where he opens up to AS about why he cannot forgive this dhoka inspite of the fact that he trusts her and acks her love....That was beautiful explanation...
Hi DD,
Yes, you are right as the scene ending up very cliche. Actually, CVs missed out on some golden opportunities in terms of adding to the script when there are real possibiliities such as Dutta associating the image of Nakusha in that yellow suit as the woman he, lovingly, made space for in his room just before DP's death. They make us cring with some of those awful scenes just ot drag the story and miss out on a real chance to integrate a romantic moment that Dutta and Naku shared just pre FR.
As to his missing out on all the nuances of possible collusion coming from within PN, Dutta is now famed for wearing blinkers. What jars is that he let somebody deal with a matter that pertains directly to Nakusha and himself, especially, when he makes his suspicion about Suresh's origin so obvious.
As to his convo with AS regarding the "dhoka", i have tried to analyse that in my post today, part of which I am quoting here:
"In Dutta's case, the emotional relationship/journey he was to start with Nakusha on his wedding night was supposed to be a process of self-revelation as in the recognition and acknowlegement of the individual image, mutual trust, comprehension and the feelings both Nakusha and he are supposed to share in the material and spiritual sense. This should have, actually, been the essence of their first day as a married couple. What happened on that night is history and a perversion of dreams that Dutta had of a life full of honesty and chastity because of this single but fatal misjudgment by Nakusha."
Kindly read the post titled: "Dutta's questions on the mirror of mutual trust" if you get a few minutes.
