Tellybuzz broke the exclusive news of Kabir Bedi entering the small screen with Harry Baweja's show on Sahara One. The show is being co- produced by Shabbir Ahluwaliya under his production house Flying Turtle.

Our source says, "Leena Jhumani who was last seen in a cameo in Star Plus' Tere Liye may play the second lead in Harry Baweja's new show and Mohit Raina who played main lead in Star Plus's Chehra will be playing parallel lead in this show."

We tried to get in touch with Leena who confirmed the news that she was approached. She says, "Yes, I was approached for this role but nothing is finalized yet."

We also got in touch with Mohit Raina who says, "Yes talks are on but nothing is materialized so I can't comment anything on it now."

Kabir Bedi is entering the small screen with Harry Baweja's show on Sahara One. The show is being co- produced by Shabbir Aluwaliya under his production house Flying Turtle.

According to our source, "Kabir Bedi has been approached to play a pivotal role in the Sahara One show. He is a known actor in the Bollywood industry. He has also worked in a couple of Hollywood films and some television programmes in Europe, where he is especially popular."

We tried to get in touch with Kabir Bedi. Instead we could only reach Bedi's close friend Parveen Dusanj who says, "He is getting lot of offers from the industry. Yes, Harry Baweja did approach him but nothing is yet confirmed."

Recently there was a buzz that the well known actress Rekha is all set to make her debut on small screen with Sahara One and Harry Baweja's show, Ganga Ki Dheej.

The latest is that this is certainly not happening, as the budgets with the great actress did not match.

A little birdie tells us, "Rekha is not doing the show now. Noted Marathi actress Jyoti Joshi has been roped in to essay the role that Rekha was to play earlier".

Jyoti Joshi is a very good Lavni dancer, and has been seen in movies like Gallit Gondhal Dillit Mujra.

As reported earlier by TellyBuzz, Saurabh Pandey will be playing the lead in the show, new face Poonam will play his love interest. Kabir Bedi, Ashwini Kalsekar, Mohit Raina, Sanjay Nath, Leena Jhumani will be playing pivotal roles.

Ganga Ki Dheej is a story set in the backdrop of Banaras wherein the young girls who come of age are made to spend a night with the Thakur of the village. The show is the story of a mother who struggles hard to save her daughters from getting forced into this sinful practice.

The promo of Ganga Ki Dheej is on air right now. The show is expected to launch in the second week of September. The channel is planning a lavish promotional campaign for the show, which will involve many big faces of television. The shoot of the show is presently taking place in Karnataka.

Kritika Kamra who was last seen with her beau in Star Plus' Zara Nachke Dikha is back to fiction!! But wait, it is not for Kitani Mohabbat Hai on Imagine, but for Ganga Ki Dheej on Sahara One!!

We hear that Kritika will play an important cameo role lasting for one or two episodes in Ganga Ki Dheej, which is being jointly produced by Harry Baweja and Shabbir Ahluwalia.

When contacted, Kritika confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am playing a cameo, and will be seen in the first episode. In fact, the Director who was with us in Kitani Mohabbat Hai is directing this show. So when I got a call from him, I immediately accepted to be part of it".

The story revolves around a particular custom in a village wherein a girl on attaining puberty has to undergo a purity test. Kritika will be seen playing the character of Geeta, a girl in the village who has to go thro' this testing ordeal.

Talking about the much-awaited sequel of Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Kritika quips, "We are planning to start shoot in the first week of September. I would like to clear one thing here. One cannot call this as a Sequel, as the entire story line is different. You can say that we are coming up with Season 2 of Kitani. It will be a fresh new love story, is all I can say at the moment".

Kritika did not shy away from talking about her on screen and off screen hero, Karan Kundra. "Karan is not in India at the moment. He has gone to meet his mom in USA. He wanted complete family time before he gets into the hectic schedule of Kitani", she quips.

After roping in some big names in its star cast, Sahara One's upcoming show Ganga Ki Dheej will now have known celebrities to play important cameo roles.

TellyBuzz recently reported that Kritika Kamra will play a village girl in the show, and will be seen in the initial two episodes. The latest is that Sonam Mann who played the sister of Kritika in Imagine's Kitani Mohabbat Hai will also be doing a cameo for the show.

A little birdie tells us, "As per the ritual followed in the village, every girl who comes of age has to go thro' purity test. Sonam will again play one of the village girls, who has suffered a lot".

When contacted, Sonam confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am playing a cameo. This is a very beautiful show and I will be seen for two episodes".

Sonam was last seen in Sony's Rishta.com. Ganga Ki Dheej which is jointly produced by Harry Baweja and Shabbir Ahluwalia is expected to launch around 20th September.

Sahara One's new show Ganga Ki Dheej to be produced by Harry Baweja and Shabbir Ahluwalia's Flying Turtles has finally got its launch date and time!!

The show will launch on November 15th at the 10 PM slot. As reported earlier by TellyBuzz, Kabir Bedi, Ashwini Kalsekar, Leena Jhumani, Mohit Raina, Sanjay Nath, Ved Thapar play important roles in the show. Saurabh Pandey and a new face Poonam will play the leads.

The show which was to start sometime in September was delayed due to certain reasons.

Our source tells us, "The new promos of the show are very interesting and holds lot of promise. The show has been given a prime time slot of 10 PM, and this means that Swastik Pictures' Mata Ki Chowki which presently airs at the 10 PM slot will undergo a change".

We hear that there is a possibility of Mata Ki Chowki getting shifted to the 10.30PM slot. This means that Jay Productions' Shorr Goongi Kankoo Ki Bolti Kahaani which presently airs at 10.30 PM will further be shifted to the 11PM slot.

We tried calling Mushtaq Shiekh, Creative Director, Sahara One, but he remained unavailable.

Our efforts to get in touch with Jay Mehta, Producer of Shorr and Sidharth Tewary, Producer of Mata Ki Chowki were in vain.
