I don't know where else to create this topic so here it is LOL!

Yesterday, I finished my first exam and had a Disney movie marathon! I watched Mulan, Beauty and the Beast and Hunchback of Notre Dame! After my second one, I'm planning to watch Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and 101 Dalmatians.

But these are all old Disney productions, why were animated movies and cartoons so good back in day? We had cartoons like Heidi, Batman - The animated series and Justice League (excluding the obvious ones like Tom and Jerry of course)! Today, most of the shows for kids are dumb. These old ones actually had a story to them and morals!

Missing all these wonderful animated movies -btw I've watched Ice Age, Happy Feet and even Ratatouille (the recent animated movies) and they are nowhere close to the Disney ones!

Omg same here! Me and my cousins had a talk on this a while back. Back then cartoons seemed more interesting and enjoyable. Now they seem slow paced and the stories aren't that great. it's as if they're dumbing it down as time goes on. Plus Disney seems to be having this trend with sequels which I think goes against the whole "happily ever after" bit😕

Exactly! I wonder why :S Is it cuz they think kids can't handle mature themes? I totally disagree. Most kids are smarter than adults would like to assume. 😆 I guess they make sequels just to cash in on something following the rule that if something works, then make a sequel lol. But I would like more thought to be put in kid's shows. Miss the time when we could learn something from the cartoons we watched.
