INDORE: The Akshay-Kareena show - one of the most high profile events to adorn Indore's social calendar—featured performances by a host of Bollywood stars—Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Celina Jaitley, Kashmira Shah and others. The stars regaled their fans with their onstage performances on Sunday evening here at Nehru Stadium. The Akshay-Kareena Night was organised for the residents of the Indore as part of the ongoing Bhaskar Utsav on Sunday.
The show opened with singer Abhijeet Sawant's performance that featured hit songs like Mohbate lootanga and Bhige Hote Tere. Abhijeet was followed by comedian Raju Shrivastva who had the audience in splits.
Then the stage saw a dazzling performance by Celina Jaitely. The gorgeous lady danced to the tunes of Bollywood numbers and mesmerised the packed Nehru stadium.
The stage was set on fire when Kareena Kapoor danced to 'Is pyar ko kya nam doon'. Draped in an orange Sari, the Kapoor girl regaled her fans with her energetic performance.
Akshay Kumar, deviating from his usual style of dramatic entries, simply walked on from behind the stage. His fans greeted him with a huge roar. Akshay danced to the latest Bollywood songs. He even went into the audiences and greeted them up, close and personal. The show saw the stars performing medleys of dances to pre-recorded songs from their films. Celina Jaitely got the crowd rocking with her classical dance.
Aman Verma brilliantly hosted the entire show. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also graced the function. He thanked the organisers for organising such a lovely evening. Chairman of Dainik Bhaskar Ramesh Chandra Agarwal and Videocon's Raj Kumar Dhoot also thanked the audience. Then the stage was again set on fire by a power performance by Kashmira Shah.
