I kind of feel bad for Mihir. He loved his wife Smriti and was devastated when he lost her. He learned to deal with it and when Purva saved him from disaster, he got close to her. And them two (Pur and Mir) are soooo in love. Now with Smriti coming back poor Mihir is reminded of all that he shared with her. He's in between a rock and a hard place and who can blame him?
More than Smriti and Purva I feel for Mihir. And my thoughts are such that everyone has moved on...let's get on with our lives. Why is Purva trying to bring Mihir and Smriti together. In real life..would someone really be that selfless???
Please share your thoughts.

I completely completely understand where you are coming from at this point, and I agree when I look at it from one point of view because he really is stuck. Yes, I do realize that he chose Purva over Smriti now, but honestly Purva doesn't seem to understand and is intent on getting him back with Smriti. What is the guy honestly supposed to do when his own decision is not respected?

From another point of view though, I'm just really mad at him. 1) Why does he not have the courage to stand up to his mother? 2) Why does he always seem to be following everyone else whenever they want something beyond law issues, like Smriti wanting to go back to her room, and Purva wanting Smriti to stay in the Sanghvi house. I wish HE would be able to make decisions for himself without letting everyone around him have a say in everything.

I think Purva is trying to bring Mihir and Smriti together because she feel responsible for their break-up as we know Mihir does not want t go back to Smriti now since he loves Purva.

Some members have said that they dont understand how could Mihir not love Smriti and consider her as his duty. That not what he means. In some ways he love Smriti but as Prem's mother since she gave the most beauitful son and as a person but nothing more. He loves Purva deeply in romantic terms, his best friend who been there for him and as his wife.
You ask whether people could really be that selfless, I dont know whether I can be that person but I do know few people who make scarfices so that their family can have happiness. I admired them because that the most diffcult thing to do in life and without holding a grudge to family for not having the life they should have.
Plus dont forget it was Purva's love for her sister Smriti, that was stronger. In order to gave up her own love Amar and forgetting that she had a life to save Smriti's rights. She made Amar move on from her even though she loved him, so that he didnt have to wait for her which could waste his life since who knew back then how long would take for Smriti to recover from her mentality. She makes the decision to marry Mihir for Smriti not knowing what her future would bring and force herself to deal with consquences without a complain . When they though smriti died Mihir and Purva accepted each other as their life parnter and gradually love each other very much.
But remember if Purva could gave up her love back then for Smriti which could have potential to ruin her life then she would have it in her to do it again. But the difference is Mihir was stronger than Amar as he does not allow Purva to move away from him that easily. He does not get trapped in her attempts to make him fall in love with Smriti in romantically. His love for Purva was too deep and stronger for that to happen
