On one hand, everyone here claims to be a supporter for homosexuality and is all for people choosing how they want to lead their own lives...
Yet, on the other hand, they are judging Kjo/SRK/any other person because they want to hide their sexuality? I have a gay friend who will not come out of the closet because its hard... I can only imagine how much more tough it would be for let's say SRK (who has to live up to expectations of millions of fans from different parts of the world, both conservative and not) to come out and say he is gay (though, I don't think he is at all- just because a man has not cheated on his wife for 10+ years and has a boy best friend that he is comfortably close to... it is safe enough to assume he is gay?)
You are getting it the wrong way. My problem isn't with KJo being gay or straight. I honestly don't care about his sexuality and I'm quite sure most don't either. My problem is with the type of movies he make. If he doesn't mind making money by these ridiculous and homophobic movies ala Dostana and KHNH, then why should we - the public - spare him? And I don't believe that KJo is really all that uncomfortable coming out; if that were the case, he would have NEVER made Dostana or added those idiotic scenes in KHNH. He doesn't have a problem making money by twisting and falsely presenting an idea that is so dear and close to him, but we audiences should think twice before accusing him of that? A bit of a double standard there, no? And please don't give me that excuse (not saying you will, but I've heard many say that previously) that he is paving the path towards tolerance by Dostana and all that garbage. If anything at all, his movies have made the whole issue seem a joke.
As for criticizing people based on sexuality or anything...well, isn't that the case with EVERY celebs out there? Aishwariya is called fake, Priyanka is called queen of diplomacy, Kareena is called bitchy, Deepika is called a bimbette...and it goes on and on. Had SRK cheated on his wife, we would have still mocked him. You can say that it is a double-edged sword, but hey, they chose to be celebs, so they shoud better get prepared to face all these. We criticize and bash celebs here not because we dislike them or anything, but just for the fun of it. Most members here take that sportingly and not seriously.
