"Maan sir" cried Geet, as she ran into the gym where Maan was trying to overcome his anger by throwing everything upside down. Geet tried to touch his arm when she saw blood oozing from the cut on his arm, it was not just a small cut and she knew it. He jostled Geet as she touched his arm and roared at her "Geet, go away from here" he moved away from her trying to control himself as he knew he might hurt her in fury. "You are bleeding sir" she spoke softly, her voice trembling from terror and agony. Maan glanced at the cut on his arm but remained silent; it would be easier for him to bear physical pain rather than emotional pain he was going through.

Maan obeyed Geet in agape, as she helped him to get out of the gym and to enter into the living room; she kept on grumbling about his stubbornness. With his instructions she searched for the first aid kit and cleaned his wound, advising him to go to a hospital for dressing as there were not enough ingredients to dress a big wound. He shook his head and told her that he was used to such small things, he has learnt to live his life with everything and he did not need doctors or even her to help her. Geet felt him saying that he did not even need her, bitter to her ears but she swallowed it realizing that she should have trusted him, instead of drawing conclusions so soon.

"Geet pour the saline now" Maan told Geet for the third time and she finally managed to gather herself apart from her thoughts, but she found her hands numb. "Geeet, what are you waiting for?" Maan questioned her while turning his head to look at her dull face over his shoulder. He grinned at her and said "I know you can't do it" Maan tried to get up from his chair to apply saline to his wound. "I'm afraid it may hurt you" Geet murmured slowly while looking at Maan who rose to his feet suddenly. Maan wondered about Geet's concern, now she was worried that it might hurt him, but she did not dare to ask him when she decided to leave him, all alone. "I can tolerate the physical pain rather than the emotional pain that kills me" Maan whispered in a husky voice, forgetting that she would leave him at any time.

"I can wait until you become alright" Geet's answer surprised him and he wished that his wound would never get healed so that she could never leave him. "Sir, I think you need to take a day off from work" Geet suggested Maan to take rest so that he could relax and his wound would heal sooner. "Only if you make a promise" Maan tried to express what he wanted but indirectly and he wanted her to make a promise before he puts out his condition in front of her. Geet conjectured for a while and nodded before giving her word to him, and a huge grin appeared on Maan's face as he whispered the words softly just for her ears to hear it "you are not leaving then".

"What might have happened to Maan? Why didn't he answer the phone?" Daadi murmured to herself while walking up and down in her room, she was worried about Maan. A smiled curved onto her old lips as she thought to call office and talk to him, so she dialed the number and waited for Maan to answer. The call got disconnected after ringing for sometime and Daadi panicked more thinking that something might have happened to Maan. She called Adi to ask about Maan and come to know that Maan did not go to office as he was unwell.
