Turn Back The Clock

Shaan stretched out his arms as he felt numbness in his arms by laying there upon his arms. He opened his eyes lazily and found that the sun was about to set biding good-bye to the daylight promising that it would come back tomorrow. The same way life has to move on biding good bye to old and closer ones and welcoming the new ones. He should not have reacted when Khanak has brought out the things related to his past. He wanted to weep thinking and remembering his worst memories, the memories that no one else knows.

He has never been loved by anyone in his life time and that's the reason why he wanted to hear Khanak saying 'I Love You' to him. He wanted to know how it feels when he hears when someone really says that he is loved. He has experienced love from only his friends and little did he know as they have splitted apart with time. He wanted to get the assurance from Khanak that she would never leave him at any situation that life would bring up to them. He laid his head on Khanak's shoulders when he broke into sobs. He has never cried in front of a girl before, but she has made him cry by digging the past that he has buried a long time before.

Those were the happiest days in his life when he was free from the tension and concerns about life. Being a teenager always made him believe that he should get the right access to certain things due to his friends who taught him. He touched the guitar as he remembered about his friends who were his family by then. He has been famous among his friends because his father was a rich businessman, but they did not know that money could not buy everything in life. He has never wanted their money but he has carved for their love and care which they were not able to give him.

He could never remember any time when his dad was free from his business activities and his mother enjoying with her friends all the time. Both his parents did not get along well then as there had been some issues with his dad's business. He found the love he missed from his friends, who helped him at all times. They did not ask anything in return from him, but always offered him what he wanted.

His mother usually gets mad upon seeing him practicing his skills at home because she found it disturbed her friends, which made him to think and find a better way to practice and become a good musician. He wanted to prove his mother that he has got the talent and all he needed were some efforts. Every day after college he has been to Sam's place as her parents always encouraged them a lot and they had pretty good space at their house.

It was one stormy night while Shaan was trapped at Sam's place after their practice he felt that he has never been loved by his parents. He waited there for few hours expecting that his parents would come to take him home. At last it was Sam's dad who took him home at that night and he could still remember what he said that night 'If there is a will, there is a way'. It was one statement that motivated him wanting to become more perfect and prove his talents to the whole world. And he got ready for the talent competition with such hard works and confident.

When he went up to the stage his eyes searched the audience wanting to see his parents there, cheering for him, but they did not appear. He did his best with his friends and they were awarded a guitar as a gift and a medal. A huge grin appeared on his face upon the success forgetting what he has missed there. As the rest of his friends requested he took it with him home to show his parents that what he has achieved. But it was just a 'great' and 'good' from them to him, as none of them wanted to congratulate him on his success.

From the day that they won the talent award the four friends became very famous and they tend to enjoy singing and music where ever they go. They were so carefree about life that they did not think that they did not mean to be together forever. The terrible accident re-appeared in front of his eyes like a clear video. He was driving the car while the rest were enjoying the journey and he accidentally released his hands from the steering wheel wanting to play the guitar once. He reacted when he heard his friends' cries, but it was too late to do anything, if only he could turn back the clock....
