The scene deffo is bleak for Vidya! It was surely a guy at the other end!
The Jhakar's don't look the type who would stop their son/s from marrying a girl of their own choice, as evident by Aditya's frank admission to his Father and getting instant approval too!
But at the same time, they don't look open-minded enough to ever accept a relationship which would be a taboo in their society! Devyani and Bauji are prolly the only people who know about it and she pressurized Gaurav to marry a girl before the SSP comes to know the truth! No wonder Bauji was bitter about it and told Devyani that he is very unhappy with the marriage and it shouldn't have happened in the first place!
That might also explain why an upper-class and educated family like the Jhakar's got a simple village girl to marry their son!😕 So that she would quietly accept her fate and not question the validity of such a marriage in the open!
Poor Vidya! This is something she can do absolutely nothing about!
