JASOOSI MISSION: Yash Malhotra Kaun Hai?

2.1) He is Maan's best friend either from childhood or from college
2.2) He is someone who knows Sameera.
2.3) He is Vicky's friend, so he is following the family closely on behalf of Vicky and knew about all the engagement fiasco from the media coverage of enagagement. May be that's how he knows all about Geet and her love for Maan.
2.4) He is here to prove a point to Maan via the promise he extracted from Geet

"Why is Yash so insistent on getting Geet as a Nanny / Secretary?" The point is why should he be searching for her in order to make her take the job? What is so Khaas about her that makes him take so much pains to search particularly for her? What is the real motive?

I think we have enough points to prove that Yash definitely is aware of who Maan and Geet are, and he has decided to test out Geet before offering his assistance(?) to her. Following 3 are the possible scenarios:

1) He is Maan's best friend.
2) He is Vicky in disguise
3) He has an unsettled score with Maan and wants to get revenge by holding Geet to her promise and taking her away from Maan

I am more leaning towards Option 2. If so, he might have left home in order to prove himself to his brother that he can stand on his own legs wihtout the baggage of being from the Khurana Khandan. What do you think?

I'm leaning on option 1 and part of option 3. He can be Maan's best friend and he may fulfill some unfinished bet between them by taking Geet away from him. Knowing Maan, he can very well challenge anyone that he gets what he wants. And Yash may be here only to prove him wrong. And no wonder he knows Geet well. Because if he didn't, he would have made her promise. He must have known she will keep her promise come rain come shine.

That is a very interesting perspective. If we reason along the friend/acquaintance track, instead of a bet, I think from his point of view, he may want to teach Maan a lesson or he may want to prove a point to Maan. but, at the same time, I do not think he is out here to take revenge by separating Maneet.

More more reason I don't think Yash is Vicky is because we know he is Aditya. Why the identity change, only time will tell. Or you think he would actually change 3 names? Besides, he's an NRI....and Vicky went missing only some time back...

Another possibility - Yash could be Maan's childhood friend and so he may not have recognized him. Anyway Geet was the object of his attention today..so I doubt he would notice anyone. For that matter, he didn't even notice Myra nor did he look in their direction.

There was just a split second when they showed Maan looking their way. As you say, Maan may not have noticed them because he is engrossed in Geet or Yash was his childhood friend & hence could not recognize him or it may have been a blooper and they did not intend Maan to see Yash. I like the spin of the childhood friend in this theory. So, we are still going strong on our theory.

One more point to note is that Myra does not show any recognition for Yash. Since she knows Dev, Maan and Dadi very well, don't you think that she would know Vicky too. This point seems to go against Yash being Vicky option.

CVs are always so unpredictable, yet they leave clues that we can make sense of later. We (dolphinUSA & sksg) find this challenge of trying to connect the dots a welcome diversion. So, we thought of putting on our detective hats and becoming detectives Dol and Kal. We have decided to share our analysis so far with fellow Maneetians so that their contributions can enrich our quest. Food for thought - Known facts, clues and interpretations collected so far:

- Yash says his name with equal pride that Maan does...Yash Malhotra that he does ... link ho sakta hai, he could be Maan's friend ...
- How did Yash come to know Geet had come to the hospital? i thought it was kinda obvious, since she was at the hospital when he first met her, may be he presumed she would go back .....and he needed a nanny, and for the first time, he saw someone who could manage the kids, he sees them not retaliating, for the kinda image they have built of him, he looks the sorts who loves having his way ...!!
- How did Yash come to know she is looking for Maan Singh Khurana? Geet looked and sounded hassled, and i presumed, he got this info when geet was inquiring from the nurse about Maan's whereabouts, it is only after she leaves does he say Maan Singh Khurana as though to mean, he could get her to do his work if he helped her with his.. it looked more like an agenda ...
- Surely this was set up. Because his kids were missing. I'm sure they are well behaved now that they must have gone home without their chachu-the kids missing could mean something else as well, may be they are back home he cant move around with them everywhere. There was a reason why he came to the hospital is the first place, went in and then diasppeared ... i am sure creatives ne itna toh nahi socha hoga yaaa...
- Yash seems like an important personality. He seemed to know how to get info from the hospital staffhe is important in his own right, the kids wouldnt go rampaging all over the place otherwise, and all the doctors and nurses already knew them, when they look at Geet they say, target number so and so ...
- His entry happened only after Maan's accident. Maybe he was informed of his accident?may be he was, may be he was not...
- He never comes in front of Geet when NT is with her. Yet, he corners & pesters her as soon as she gets away from NT. this could be something that could be thought over ... or is it just a coincidence?
- He is already aware that Geet loves Maan, but is surprised to hear her address Maan as Maan "Sir"- may be he has something to do with maan!!! 😊😊😊 i knw i am wavering in thought, but at this point i do think he may be related .. or may be he is just amused at how much she loves a guy, and yet calls him sir ... well, he had just offered her all the fancy posts in the world, and she had refused all of them, and now she was hopelessly in love with someone who she was referring to as sir ..
- He seems to be giving Geet a series of tests to confirm how genuine her character is because there is some kind of pride that he displays in his face each time she sounds true. He gives out information about Maan's whereabouts only after Geet refuses his job offers like CEO, etc posts.this could be for his own selfish reasons..and thats the exact reason why he is even more surprised she was going to any lengths for another employer.. her principles come out here.. and he is impressed with her, the smile on his face says that..
- His introductory article says "there will be twist to his character which will be reveled later" yup!! waiting to see how the makers twist him around ..
- He said every Delhi girl knows him well. Means he was in Delhi and then moved to America.
- He was too happy to see Maaneet hug. Don't you think one feels this much joy only for their own people? I mean Myra knew them both, so her joy is understandable. But why was Yash so elated?yes again, dost ho sakta hai.... 😊
- He said maine Geet ka kaam kar diya ab usko mera kaam karna padega. How come he is talking soo coolly about a stranger? well, he seems pretty comfy with ppl arnd how.. how else would you explain the hug he shared with meera?
- Myra knows Maan , Dev & Dadi well, but does not seem to Yash. She did not show any recognition today. okay here .. i have to disagree with the bit that she doesnt know him.. may be she does.. may be he always knew her, always had been following her, may be he has come to India for Meera... the over confidence with which Meera says dheeth ho .. gave me a feeling, koi purana connection hai .. she also says, you never give up na?? how dus she know??

Conclusion arrived at so far:

It is safe to say that Yash already knows about Maan and Geet before he made his filmy entry infront of Geet. There are too many points to support this. In what capacity does he know them well enough to be elated about their reunion? This is what we need to dig out the clues for. Following are the options under discussion so far:

1) He is Vicky in disguise
2) He is Maan's best friend either from childhood or from college
3) He is someone associated with Maan's past who is here to prove a point to Maan via the promise he extracted from Geet
4) He is a stranger who is hitherto unaware of Maan and Geet, but is smart enough to bend the circumstances to get what he wants.
5) He has an unsettled score with Maan and wants to extract revenge by taking Geet away from Maan via the promise he extracted from Geet

Given the clues collected so far, Option 5 seems to be the least possible of the lot.
