Ichcha and Gunwanti- Gunwanti found it difficult to accept that her son Veer had fallen in love with Ichcha (Tina Dutta) who is the daughter of a maid. She felt that Tapasya is the right match for Veer and not Ichcha. Ichcha sacrificed her love for Tapasya's sake and Tapasya fooled Veer into marrying her. However Veer's brother Vansh who is a drug addict fell in love with Ichcha and married her. Vansh later committed suicide and Gunwanti felt that Ichcha was responsible for his death. However she later found out that Ichcha was not at fault and her negative attitude towards Ichcha changed. Gunwanti has realized her mistake and started caring for Ichcha and now treats her like her daughter and wants her to remarry.
