To Love Again - Part – 30

Maan was thinking about the surprised party Geet arranged especially for him, making his birthday a memorable one for him. He has spent several years in life, looking for a girl who could melt him like the wax of a candle when it is heated. For him it was Geet's love that set him afire. His life would be complete soon with the arrival of their baby. He has forgotten that it was someone else's as he considered every bit of Geet belonged to him, be it her baby or her soul. He still remembers the promises they have made to each other saying their days would begin with each other and also would end with each other. It was a promise for a life time.

'Maan sir' Chandu called Maan when they were about to climb on the stairs. He came running to Maan and handed a flower bouquet as Geet went upstairs excusing herself to change her clothes. Thinking that it was another surprise from Geet, Maan smiled and ran upstairs happily.

Geet was sitting in front of the mirror trying to remove her jewelleries when Maan entered into the room. He crossed his arms across the chest and stopped aside to see how Geet fought against the jewelleries to free herself from them. He approached to her as though an invisible force within her drew him towards her without his knowledge, forcing him to help her in removing the heavy jewelleries. It is always her silky skin he couldn't resist to caresses wanting to feel the smoothness against him. As he longed for her, he moved closer to her, making her to feel his warm breaths against her neck and cheeks. Geet closed her eyes as her breathing quickened forgetting that she was seated in front of a mirror.

'Geet? Open your eyes and look at me' Maan whispered into her ears and she opened her eyes and glanced at their reflection at the mirror. Maan held her tummy with his arms, embracing her while looking at the mirror 'See how beautiful you are. It's time for our family to be completed' he murmured slowly like he was talking to a sleeping baby. The baby couldn't keep the calmness for so long; Maan started caressing her tummy feeling the lumps of the baby every now and then to soothe it. Slowly he moved his hands upwards finding its way to set fire on Geet.

He carried her to the bed gently, experiencing her changed weight with the growing baby within her. He dimmed the lights so they could enjoy the beauty of the moonlight night. He was very gentle with her when he found his way to meet her luscious lips that were parted for him. She felt the desire within her rose all of a sudden when their lips met, kissing him back hungrily. Her response made him to forget everything between them as he rode with her to heaven and held her close to him as they came back to the earth.

Geet woke up late in the morning and rolled over to the other side and found Maan has already gone. 'Uffh, again I'm late, Babaji please don't create any problems today' she murmured to herself and got out of the bed, adjusting her negligee. She stopped by the window and drew the curtains before walking towards the washroom. Her eyes caught a glimpse of a moving paper folded on the dressing table with a white rose. She took the paper and read the note Maan kept for her 'Good morning my love, I couldn't think of any other word than a big thank you for everything you have done for me. I would have stayed at home these days if there weren't many complications here, but I will be back soon. Till then take care, yours only, Maan.' Geet kissed the paper and smelled the fresh white rose before she started to sing with joy 'Tum jo aaye zindagi mein baat ban gayi.'

Daadi went into the room after having lunch with Geet while Geet waited downstairs trying to change the arrangements of the living room. Chandu, who was helping Geet ran to open the door upon hearing the door bell. 'Geet ma'am, a lady is at the door to meet you' Chandu came to Geet. 'Who is she?' Daadi, who happened to come downstairs to ask something from Geet, questioned Chandu before Geet 'Chandu go and ask her name' it was an order from Daadi. Chandu came running to Daadi after a while 'Sameera' Chandu's reply was a shock to Daadi and Geet.

'Sameera?' Geet murmured as she sat down on the couch feeling she could not hold herself any longer. 'Hello Geet, I missed the baby shower so I came to see you. By the way, is it really Maan's child that you are carrying?' Sameera came to meet Geet with another intention. Geet felt her bursting with anger as she rose from her seat and moved towards Sameera. 'You are my guest, so I respect you, but you need not to worry about my life' she was firm and strong when she answered back Sameera. 'Come on Geet, I know the truth and there is no point trying to hide and you too know Maan accepted you with sympathy' Sameera tried to spread her venom like a snake. To hide the tears gathering into her eyes, Geet turned away to find her way back to the room. She could not take more than three steps, when she felt a strong hand catching her hand stopping her running away. Geet turned her head and glanced over her shoulders and saw Maan holding her hand tight while staring angrily at Sameera.
