@SonyaBlade...I work too, and in the US, so I know exactly what you are talking about.😆..But then again just wanted to point out something that my heart and mind and sensibilities just did not agree with.and looking at all the responses here...most of us feel the same way.
Again the kind of dressing that is being shown hip and happening and professional in Geet..is soo not done..but putting that on the side..this was more about what professional women wear in India and what is acceptable and what is laughed at ...and also dressing according to occassion and venue...and now safety too!!😊

I agree with you 100%
Forget India for a second, even in abroad, if you went somewhere in a salwar, then [you would ge some looks, since they dont see attire like theis everday] but they definetly dont look down on you for wearing something in your culture. Its really sad that they came up with something like this. Ugh! :(

You know whats sad...

I was born and raised in the US, and upon watching some of these serials I feel much more cultured then the masses.

A salwar suit....your kidding me right? I would kill to find a salwar suit like the one Geet was wearing today...it was so pretty!!

Secondly, even here, and those of you who live out side of India know..there is a fine line between classy and trashy....sadly...Tasha and Co. are trashy...especially that old biddy who was talking behind Geet..her too plump body was popping out of that sequined disaster she was wearing.

Aur faltu ki baate nahin sun sakti main...uff.

kudos to the topicmaker for creating such a wonderful topic👏.........I stay in India....go to work daily.....i do wear salwar suits and western clothes...both.....and sometimes even sari....but nowhere i was mocked wearing indian clothes.......and no....not even in a 5 star hotel!!LOL!!......
And a girl wearing as elegantly as Geet can never be mocked!!(oh!!....am so in love with her dress.....which she wore in the hotel...... its gorgeous)
Guess.....the creatives has gone overboard.....to make our hero a knight in shining armour .....but they could do it also in some other way...*sigh*

😆 yaar pata nahin if Im out of touch in India or what it is Im happy I have people who understand what Im talking about, tho' jaise humaare handsome hunk MSK ne kahaan "humen apne aap par hamesha se yakeen tha" parantu kintu aajkal aise namoone thode zyaada hain... "hain na"
But me dont drink water outside in India so no sugarcane juiceor any juice :-). Pata nahin kya agar jamal gota waala effect ho jayae🤣to poora vacation ka mashed potatoes ho jayega.
But overall you know this is a serial allowed to have some exageration, I mean really who gives "dictation" these days of smartphones. Jab Maan-Geet paas paas to no complaint, but jab maan-geet hurting hurting to sab logic nichod ke baahar nikaalte hain hum log. But chalega na😆😆😆😆

i totally agree with u.i always wanted to make a post about it.i m too late in responding to ur post but bringing down the culture is a bad idea.though i m not from india and live in uk but i know that both in india and pakistan lot of people wear kameez shalwar and it's our culture.people r open to other dresses as well but kameez shalwar is more accepted in our cultures.there's no point that a girl weraing kameez shalwar is going to be banned in a five star hotel or she will be mocked for wearing it as it's something alien.i live in uk and wear kameez shalwar many times.there so many people here from different countries who wear their cultural dresses but they r never treated and mocked like this so why geet wearing kameez shalwar in india is so mocked.cvs should be careful about the facts.geet in kameez shalwar looks million times prettier than sasha and other half naked gals.
