Vandana of DID fame in Vachan
Zee TV will be launching a new show titled as Dil Se Diya Vachan produced by Film Farm, in the month of October. The show will mark the comeback of seasoned actress Neena Gupta post her appearance on Sony Entertainment Television's Ladies Special.

She plays mother-in-law on the show which is also the key character of the show. Vandana of Dance India Dance fame plays the protagonist. Parul Gulati who played Yami Gautam's younger sister in Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam too will be seen on the show. The show is explores the deep bond of a daughter and her mother-in-law. It is in contrast to what we have seen till date in family drama where we see a scheming saas always planning against her daughter-in-law.

Informs our source, ''Zee TV has always promoted their reality show contestants. After Twinkle Bajpai who played the protagonist Lakshmi in Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann and Binny Sharma who essays the lead role of Gauri in Sangini, it is Vandana of Dance India Dance 2 fame who has been finalised as the lead of their upcoming show Dil Se Diya Vachan. The show is a take on the beautiful relationship of a mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law. This will be a beautiful story of their relationship sans any scheming and plotting. The show is tipped to be replacing Agle Janam which is soon going to conclude.''

However another source from Film Farm says, ''I don't think we will get an early evening slot of 7:30 pm and we are also hearing that Agle Janam has got an extension. We are hearing that the show might get the time slot of 8:30 pm too. Channel hasn't yet informed us of the launch date and timing. In all likelihood we will be hitting the airwaves by the end of October.''

We sent a text message to Sukesh Motwani, Zee TV fiction head, but he didnt revert to out text message. All attempts to reach Neena Gupta and Vandana went futile too.

'DID' contestant gets break!

Vandana Joshi, a former contestant in Zee TV's dance reality show 'Dance India Dance' (DID) has been given a break on the channel's latest offering 'Dil Se Diya Vachan'.

The Delhi-based girl will play the female lead in the show that is about friendly relationship between a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law.

"'Dance India Dance' changed my life and the offer to play the lead role in a serial is like a dream come true. My passions in life have always been dancing, performing on stage, travelling and learning new things. I am sure acting in a serial will fulfill all of them," Vandana said in a press statement.

Explaining the reason behind choosing Vandana for the role, Sukesh Motwani, programming head (Fiction), Zee TV said: "Nandini is not the usual protagonist and the character had to be played by someone who is mature, grounded, practical, sincere and very dedicated in real life. Vandana fits the bill very well as we have seen the above- mentioned qualities in her during her stint at 'DID'."

This is not the first time that the channel has given a platform to its reality show contestants. Binny Sharma, who was one of the finalists on 'Dance India Dance' too was given a chance in their show 'Sanjog Se Bani Sangini'.
