Nasal+overvibrato will stay the problem with Kumar. He is more nasal than Himesh, adding an unnecessary twang to EVERY single vowel sound! Any time he holds a note, it becomes a problem. And it's tolerable in some aakaars like 'aah' or 'hey', but it's annoying when he does it on 'oo' and 'ee'.

He also pronounces betaabiyon as 'beTAbiyon' and rimjhim as 'reemjheem'.

He had good high notes. Voice control was average.

Hmmm.. haven't heard of this song before..

The starting of the song with 'hey' was relatively good. The somewhat awkward tune of the song leaves little space to showcase anything 'beautiful' in terms of singing. Variations here and there could have enhanced the overall presentation. Expressions are okay, not heart-felt, or not as 'connective'. Overall, an okay performance..

Would give a 7 out of 10..

Wow not many people like Kumar ji seems like! That's quite surprising. I love him! Of course not more than Udit ji and Alka ji because they are the best. But Kumar ji is a good singer too!

But getting down to this song...

His opening was very smooth and nice. As the song got a bit faster, I started to disconnect with his voice. I don't know why. It just didn't seem right. Maybe its a lack in the composition, lyrics, or just his voice. He had good voice control for the most part. He was in sur for the majority of the time. There were some parts where he was really strong. But in other parts he fell short. Honestly I liked Alka ji's parts better! She overshadowed him in this song. Kumar ji was quite disappointing in this song in my opinion. I saw more flaws than positives. I know for a fact that he is capable of better songs, because he is a good singer! Unfort this song didn't bring out much positive vibes from him.

Right from the beginning, his nasality wiped out all signs of melody and he got just few of the parts in tune. As if that weren't good enough, he went on to chaging his pitch and totally going off tune, while continuing with the nasality.

If he existed even today in the industry, there'd be 5 more Himesh's roaming around!
