Great song!


The singing, not as great. I agree, his voice quality is just bad. Much below average for bollywood singers. Okay maybe not that bad, but for sure below average. The main sequences were really not strong, they were simply sung, but his voice quality brought them down. The post-main sequences were a little stronger, but again was held back by his voice quality, though he showed a little more singing ability in these sequences. So not bad there.

I liked the ending, though at the very end he was just shouting, but it was still an impressive sequence.



Overall, great song, average singing. Bad voice quality, but he had some impressive moments. So I'd give him average.

Hmmm.. wasn't expecting this song, but still, its okay.. :)

Coming to the singing part, well, the nasal element is quite evident in the singing, his high sequence in the start and the end, were quite good.. Lack of voice control appears here and there.. Expressions are okay, could have been more heart-felt with a deep sad tone, whereas the sleepy expression is more dominant.. Variations in the singing could have enhanced the affect of the song.. Overall, an average performance..

My score for this would be 6 out of 10..

This song is more about its feel, not too much vocal skills needed. Somehow Atif's voice, which is evidently not very pleasant otherwise, and style of singing suited this particular song.

No pitch-correcting technology seems to work perfectly for him, but then it does work to a great extent. Anyway, I'm here to judge on the basis of what I hear. I mean I should judge the end result. His sur was, though not perfect, not too bad, whatever the secret is.
