I’ve been watching Mahi’s moves closely, and let’s stop pretending she’s playing some masterclass strategy.
I think Mahi’s entire game becomes easier to understand once you identify the one thing driving her: she needs to dominate the people around her.
She was comfortable with Scout, Yung and Asif as long as she had the strongest influence within the group. The moment she realised that Amrapalee was receiving more support, and that she could not completely control Yung, she started treating the group like it had betrayed her.
Yung’s reaction said a lot. He was genuinely hurt by the breakdown because he thought he had built a real bond with Mahi in the first week. But Mahi was not looking for a bond on equal terms. She wanted Yung to choose between her and Amrapalee. When he refused to do that, she interpreted his independence as disloyalty and walked away from the group.
The same pattern seems to be repeating in the other group. She is failing to dominate the other group too.
Her saving Arishfa was simply to get future leverage on her. She has no problem with Qazi’s mistakes because she is strongly aligned with him now. If someone else had done the lollipop thing, Mahi would probably have turned it into a major moral issue. Her standards change depending on whether the person is useful to her game.
So now she’s playing this neutral card, bouncing between groups, but the pattern is the same. She doesn't align with people, she tries to own them. If she can't dominate the room, she leaves.
The most telling part is her obsession with Mary Kom. The repeated comments about not knowing Mary’s name, deliberately misinterpreting what Mary said despite knowing that Hindi is not her strongest suit, and turning the pakoda issue into another conflict all look less like genuine disagreement and more like an attempt to reduce Mary’s standing. Mahi can't stand that Mary commands natural respect in the house based on her real world achievements. Deep down, Mahi knows she’ll never have that kind of legacy, and it’s eating her alive.
Mahi wants to be the authority in the room, but Mary already carries an authority that does not depend on the house accepting her.
And don't even get me started on how she treats Uditi. It’s the classic case of an older woman resenting the younger siren who is grabbing all the attention through her beauty. Mahi was exactly where Uditi is now... the young, attractive girl everyone is drawn to, and now she’s projecting all that insecurity onto her.
Mahi isn't playing a big game, she's playing an ego game. She doesn't want to win the show as much as she wants to feel superior to everyone in it.
Curious if anyone else sees this or if you actually think she's being strategic?
Asif pissed off by her. Pampering Mahi more. Yung had a chhota bheem dance with Mahi. Scout becoming frndly with Qazi and Aman. Everything has changed.
