Love on birthday wish-list? Maybe, says Ranbir

It's Ranbir Kapoor's birthday today, and the Kapoor khandaan's buzzing with excitement.

However, the young star reveals that he's not taking a break from work and will be busy with his film promotion rounds.

"I'll just catch up with a few friends if I can and later it'll be a quiet dinner with family," he says. Busy he might be, but Ranbir isn't complaining. "I love my work. And I think when you are passionate about what you do, it doesn't feel like 'work' at all," he adds.

Little wonder then that despite his age, he's already giving takkar to the top stars at the BO. Point this out and he acknowledges it with a smile. "I just try to be the best in whatever I do. I am ambitious and a go-getter, but I'm not number-driven at all. I am film-driven. I want to keep outdoing myself with each performance."

What about Hollywood? "If it happens, it'll happen. But there's so much more to do here too." On the personal front, Ranbir admits to being single — reason enough for most of his female fans to rejoice! "I do believe in love, but I'm single right now, and enjoying it too," says Bollywood's Prince Charming.

How about adding love on the birthday wish-list then? "Sounds like a good idea, but what's the hurry?" comes the rhetorical question.

Ask mum Neetu Kapoor, what she'd wish for Ranbir on his birthday, and she smiles, "A daughter-in-law and grandkids!" She's quick to add, "I'm sure it'll all happen in good time too." And which of his co-stars does he share the best chemistry onscreen? "Priyanka. Although I think he and Katrina look good together too," she says. Ranbir says, "Well, I'd love to, but am not planning on marrying any Punjabi kudi that my family suggests.And is Priyanka whom Mama approves of? "You know how moms are. She's saying that only because she's co-starring with me in my next film!" he laughs.
