24th sept episode - geet does make sense

Hi ppl,

I have been a silent reader of geet forum - devils den, different analysis and general opinions made me enjoy the serial even further. As a matter of fact its the first time I started watching an indian TV serial other than the regular news channels and that too online. it was during my stints of search for the serial online that I came across the forum and got addicted to it.

Coming back to the the 24th serial. everybody on the forum was quite upset with the remark of Geet about the 'fake engagement'. If you look to the serial - and the edited version (informed by Jyoti)

- When Maan stops geet at the station - he does not say anything to her other than to put the ring. no claiming to her in private that he wants to make this engagement real.

-Then in the editied portion - when Geet is driving back with Maan - she is supposedly questioning - if maan did it because he wants it or if it was for Dadi's sake.

-Next day she tries to establish this by asking him to acknowledge that she is important to him that he needs her.

-In the fountain scene - he asks for her help - ok -but then continues about looking for a person who cheated her. Geet knows its his nature that he will stand up for truth and correctness. He is standing by her thus he wants to take care of her - even by looking for the person who cheated her - so that she can punish him.

-where has he informed her in private that he wants more in this relationship that he wants to give a new name to this relationship.

- even in manali market - he declares in front of public - like he did in his office - that she is offically his.

- so as per her - in private he doesnot indicate any deeper feelings for her other than the protective instict .

- She wants to know more - for her its not clear - how to take this relationship. is he just a gaurdian - who is protecting her and who wants her to stand up with him for the ske of his dadi? Or that he carries deeper feelings for her to commit himself to her in another relationship.

And thats why she is goading him to acknowledge or to give name to their relationship...

sometimes unspoken words or action are not enuff when the situation is so complecated..Afterall once bitten twice shy as they say

i think maan told geet in railway station that

He is not bothered abt her past, but he wants be part of her future. he can't live without her and he wants her to part of his life.

ya thats right he did - and for us as viewers that was a most beautiful commitment.

but during the editied scenes - not shown - she is still questioning if he did this for himself or for dadi. why is this? because she is not clear even after the railway station scene - how he is looking at this relationship - especially after he knows that she is carrying someone else child.

cause he is always been a gaurdian angel for her and she knows that he intends to look after her.

a) as a friend? or

b) in which capacity

c) whats in his mind for the future of this relationship.

Its not that she doesnot know that he cares - but what is the next step?? where is this care leading to?

a man tells u he cannot live without u and still u dont know wat he means? and he wants to have a fake engagement with her for dadi's sake? for how long? how much more time before pregnancy starts showing? he knows she is preg... so obviously he is talking of long term relations...and if he is to tell her i love u, she should give him a little opportunity, na? he knows she has been hurt badly once, he is trying to take it slowly not to scare her off, but she snaps at him always...was she enjoying when they were making her a dulhan...did she like he asked really want to be bunty's bubli? he is right like he earlier said, she just does not use her brains at all...he said for him love means sachhai and he is sticking with it...she told him she did not know about the phone no and immediately he believed her...well, maan, if she wants it u have no other go other than to spell it out in black and white and tell her i love u
