I agree...I loved the hug...there was so much emotion from his father's side. I dunno what's the back story but I kinda feel sorry for the father in Sr Patil. His son has moved so far away from him that he has to go to such lengths to catch a glimpse of him. He first dresses up as a poor man to receive alms from him just to maybe see him...touch him and bless him. But he doesnt get a chance to do that so he instead bless his daughter in law. Then once again he goes to extreme lengths just reach within touching distance of his son. How sad would such a situation be for a father....

Well said, Shreya. I agree completely. The hug was so emotional, particularly from the father's side. Because it was in the dark and you could only see their outlines, you could actually FEEL it. How much it meant to Dutta's dad to hug him.

There is one thing I wanted to bring up. Was it just me or did the background music and 360 degree view of the hug remind you of Tasha hug? 😆

Just watched the epi and seriously the hug was very emotional. I could see the tears welling up in Sr. Patil's eyes when he hugged Dutta. The way he caressed his face and then blessed him clearly shows that how much he was longing for him. It was very sad to see that he had to come in hiding. I don't understand why AS behaved like this with him? If he wanted he could have revealed his face instead of black-out. But he did not do so ... infact he saved AS ... so why is she still blaming him? She should understand his action.

AS seems to think Patl Sr will harm Dutta maybe due to some history...I guess she took the huge step of living the life of a widow just for Dutta's sake which is huge as she isnt even Dutta's biological mom. For the same reason she seems to want TaSha married asap as she thinks Naku will be the sheild that will protect Dutta.

I agree that she has some strong valid reason to keep him away from Dutta. I am thinking why did he black-out to meet Dutta? Is it that Dutta might recognise him and the past memories will re-surface? He can be introduced as some other person also.

I just loved the hug and that gave me more confidence that I am happy SP has returned back to Dutta....Anu and I have been cribbng a lot about the mssing Jagtap's role in Dutta's life and I sincerly hope SP performs his duties and becomes an idle father henceforth!!....Once dutta has fought with his demons then the bygones can be bygones and let the father be part of the wedding, sit beside Dutta and shower him his love as a father, and bless NAKU as a father in law.....Oh! I am so happy tht finally Dutta would have a man above him to guide him and to whom dutta can go back to!!....That was the missing link in Dutta life....he has been so self independent and on his own....but a human needs a shoulder at times....and tht shoulder was missing from Dutta but now, he has one....atleast soon, he wuld!!....yipee!!!

and on the hug, yes, he did wipe his tears after seeing AS in the dark...although, I didnt notice Dutta's hand moments....shld check again!!....

but what a heart warming hug...Dutta was awesome as usual, a combination of Confusion and emotion....emotion because he did feel the warmth of a hug, he did feel the missing piece in his life...else why wuld he wait for so long to react...he could have caught the man in his hold immediately....but NO...he let SP, tie him the chain, hug him for quiet many seconds/minutes and didnt say a thing, didnt call the guards, didnt lock the man in the hold...he just felt the unknown and yet mesmerizing touch and let himself live the moment!!!!....

and the father was just awesome...became so evident that he has come to make amends, he misses his son and is ready for any punishment to make things right!!!

Love u Cvs for this!!! for listening to us and introducing a missing Jagtap in Dutta's life.....

Aawwee that would be so nice!!!!!!

Its something that i too always felt from the time i have started watching LTL and understanding the characters..I really feel like protecting Dutta from all the wordly woes n hurt! Seriously, Dutta needs love in his life ( all kinds, that of lover's love, siblings love, son's love). He has seen so much in his life and is always fighting the demons and just been taking care of others that somewhere he nvr got what he has been giving except now of course with Nakkus love...

I m so so glad tht DP is a positive character and does really care abt Dutta. I am willing to forgive DP for whatever he might have done in the past to Dutta, but now DP has come back to give Dutta his happiness..and how much I would love to see a heart to heart scene btwn the father n son..sab gile shikwe clear karte huye...he he on a lighter note..when i saw the hug btwn D & D's father..i got so carried away..that i wanted to join them in their hug n cry! One of the best hugs ever!
